Most of you know me some of you have known me for years as I have been on sense cod came out. I am not sure how your redirect works but this is the 3rd time I have been redirected having a very high score. I know I am not XI but the respect is still there. I am an admin on our BHF servers and sometimes power is to much for some to handle. Could someone please explain to me how your redirect targets players? Is there an admin just picking and choosing? I just don't think its fair sometimes. Oh btw I have been redirected many times, like I said when you have a high score and you have been playing through 6 rounds and there are non XI member's just joining and I get kicked does not seem to make any sense. It is not just score alone. Otherwise players who have been on the server for 20 minutes and got 10 kills... either a sniper or just not very good... would get kicked instead of a player that was on for 5 and got 15 kills. We already went through all of this months ago. The balance as it currently stands is the most fair but far from perfect. I have rewritten it enough times and am not interested in doing it again. If you are downloading a mod or map and want to stop early open up the console and type /disconnect. I think Sammy can answer your question. But afaik the balance has been changed many times. But afaik the balance has been changed many times. Yes that is basically it. Non-XI members when they join have a weighted score of zero. No points. No play time. If you have been on the server and did nothing for 5 minutes your score would be positive for simply being there. Only exception to that would be if negative scores were enabled for team kills. How long you have played and what your score is. Final result is a weighted balance between the two. Since a new player has none of each his score is zero and therefore has the lowest priority. I havent been on the server in awhile so I dont know yet if the current mod got transferred over or not. It will use time played and that is it. Score doesnt matter. Means that a sniper that has been on the server 15 minutes with 5 kills will have priority over a player that has been on the server 10 minutes but 25 kills. Whether or not that is fair depends on who you ask but this is how I was asked to do it and it will remain that way when the mod is transferred. Please read the posts prior to your posts as Sammy has explained how we redirect. Admins do not redirect we just kick to make room. The system redirects according to the protocol Sammy explained earlier in this topic. Oh and like Labob said.... Membership has it's privileges! A new map starts so his time played would be back at zero? Doesn't matter that he's been playing all day? Then he rejoins but the map is now 4 minutes in and so he's back at zero and then get's booted again and the cycle continues? I've seen regular players get redirected several times after they have been playing for hours (people who have played with us for years) when someone who I've never seen before stays in.
