I had a virus called "search.conduit" and after finally getting rid of it and scanning my pc until I am blue in the face I want to try and resolve the problems with my computer! The mouse and until I bought a new keyboard will stop working and the pc freezes up for no reason! Most of the time it shows 0% of my cpu is being used and then sometimes it spikes which means something is def happening but not sure exactly what 7-8% usage really means! It's an 8core and really should not freeze up on me! One in a while when I try to play WaW it goes to the blue screen and I have to do a hard boot to get it to react! Sometimes I have to reboot 2-3 times to get it to start working properly! I have been getting a message lately that says "Windows mouse and keyboard have stopped working." I googled this and well the info I found was just not a lot of help! Can anyone please help me get this thing fixed where it stops giving me crap! BTW I can play WaW okay most of the time but afterward it will go to the blue screen every so often! If you need more info please ask so I can give you what you need to help me! Awards

Put in a windows disk and start a new. Windows backs up everything so you can go back into the old fileing system "Windows.Old" and pull important information out. Awards

JK. No, just format. The easy way is just to put your windows disk in and boot from the disk. When it asks which partition you want to put windows onto, you can can first delete the old partition, create and format a new using the entire allowable volume, then install on the new partition. Before you format though, make sure you back up all the files you want to keep including any COD profiles. From reading what you are saying about your issues, I believe formatting and starting clean is the right way to go. It's always a bit of a headache to reinstall all the windows updates and software again but you at least start fresh with no extra shit. Once you have windows on your PC and up to date, put MSE on it for antivirus and something like Malwarebtyes for antimalware. I use that combination and have no issues. More importantly, just stay away for all that porn. PS: BACK UP ALL FILES YOU WANT TO KEEP BEFORE YOU FORMAT. Post back if you need help with COD profile locations although I believe the XI downloader does a decent job with that. Awards

Yep, there are a few things that conduit does which have a malicious behavior. But it isn't. For example, there is an option to paste marked text automatically into the search field of a conduit toolbar. But you can deactivate it in the settings. I created a conduit toolbar about two years ago and use it.Iit's fine. I see no need to reformat your PC for now. Most blue screens are caused by hardware failures. As I said: detailed information from the event log might be useful. Or write down the stop message ( (or take a photo) of the blue screen. I can have a look via Yeamviewer on Saturday evening at the earliest. BigPapaDean 1 Awards

One of them is new! I bought it to clean up the old one so my down time would be minimal then when I logged ibnto chrome because it is synched it spread it to the new one! Can anyone tell me how to fix that when Chrome won't even open to the settings page? That is why I can't get rid of this thing it has hijacked Chrome and spread to the other two browsers and effects them all in different ways! Things were happening that should not be happening like it would always open in a new tab when I had it set to just go to the new page! I finally got that fixed on Firefox but going into the windows settings and just looked around it worked kind of like refreshing the damned settings! Now if only I can get the rest of this fixed I would be so happy! and here is a sample of the event viewer! Awards
