Both are 1.7 I guess. For Cod5 there it the ultimate patch that contains all. 1.1-1.7. For CoD 4 you will have to apply every single patch on your own. And you need the legacy version of Punkbuster. Evenbalance doesn't support MW and WaW any longer. I use the mobile view atm so I can not provide you with the links. You can find all this stuff on the M&M page.
