We don't help viruses. Best way to be 100% sure, take this HDD out, nuke it in Microwave. Get a new HDD and start a new beginning. If you find yourself in the same situation again, rinse and repeat. You're welcome! always happy to help...

On another note, it doesn't sound like that driver program was a virus. Most likely someone's custom ported driver and hence the reason they are unsigned. You can never be 100% sure with these things, use your PC as normal and if you see weird pop-ups while browsing then you know a malware exists. Run the conglomerate of software everyone has been talking about.

FYI

I got an email from "fedex" informing me that they couldn't find my address so couldn't deliver a package I was waiting on it said more information in the attachment. Since I was waiting on a part this didn't seem unusual so I clicked on it and nothing happened . . .huh wtf?

the next email in my mailbox was a note from the parts place I ordered the part from. I figured there would be more information in this email. When I opened it the first thing I noticed was that the part was shipped thru United States Postal Service . . . . Not FEDEX!! . . . I knew right then I was up shit creek. 30 seconds later all hell broke loose with pop ups showing my system being scanned threats of total distruction of all my data if I didn't click here or there it was the worst virus I ever seen. I couldn't run Malwarebytes or Chameleon  in fact it wouldn't even let me shut down my computer. I ended up just pressing the power button to shut it down. When I started it up in safe mode my mouse was disabled (fucking bastards) so I shut er down again with the power button and restarted in safe mode with command prompted.I'm not all that good with DOS but know enough to navigate to Chameleon and run it. After it was done I restarted and boom! there it was again . . . I was running out of Ideas then I remembered I had Combo fix in a file so I ran that and to make sure I used HiJack This to scan again and look for anything left over. the HiJack This scan revealed that the virus had infected Internet Explorer. (I dont even use IE but when I tried to open that attachment IE opened briefly)  I marked those files to be deleted  and restarted . . . . .  .nailed it!

That was the worst virus I ever seen  and hope to never see again.

Hell Yes I backed all my files up on discs and scanned it all.

Good Luck@@DeathWaveUK I hope you are successful.

Damn, Lead. That's really bad.

Luckily, nothing out of the ordinary has happened yet and Malware scans have picked up nothing at all that's bad. So I THINK I am in the clear with it. But I can never be too safe. Once THIS scan is done, I will run a quick scan with my Anti Virus which might help find it (if there is anything at all because I have scanned with Microsoft Security Essentials, Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool and currently running a thorough scan with Malware Bytes

Trojans are typically easy to detected but almost impossible to get off without reinstalling OS.  If everything says you don't have one then continue like you usually do but keep an eye on anything that appears out of the ordinary like crashes, slower boots and software acting up

Had exactly the same thing happen a couple years ago Lead. I was expecting a package delivery from FedEx and like an idiot clicked on the email link. Managed to reboot and run system restore which completely eliminated the threat.

If this thread has taught us nothing else, it's that everybody has different ways of doing things and since we're all here talking about it they all must work.  There will never be any shortage of scam artists out there trying to fuck up our PC's, so having a plan is always a good idea.
