I am looking for any members that live in or close to Austin, TX. I plan on moving to the area around May 12th or so. I will be living in Austin for about 4 years if not longer. I am looking for any volunteers that could possibly let me stay with them for a week or 2 while I am looking for an apartment and I am willing to pay you for my stay. It will only be me.

I do not need to store a lot of stuff, I will be packed light, everything I have will be packed into my car. No moving truck is involved.

Anyone who is interested in helping me out I thank you in advance.

Does your wife know I will be a veteran? I just need temporary help and if I can save a couple hundred by not staying in a hotel that would be awesome.

If the answer is still no, thanks anyway hound-dog.

It's a lot cheaper than NY and NJ. I want to live in Austin to attend University of Texas ranked 27th best public school in the world and ranked 10th in the country for engineering. I'm shooting for aeronautical engineering.

Well that makes it an even better cause. You have my support for sure. Smart Idiots are cool..

Yea Texas has some good schools. I love this state. That is a bad ass degree you have set for yourself. Would be something I would like to do but I would have to pay attention too much. It is programming in real life. Creativity a must.

Drive is not bad from here to Austin. Just over an hour.

I got rid of my dildo collection due to Rockape so you are safe in them regards. Just have to get that out there before rumors start. :)

Ooo I'm jealous. I've wanted to move to Austin for a long time. A former co-worker moved there earlier this year and loves it. If we're lucky and my girlfriends most recent bone marrow transplant works, maybe I can convince my work to let me work remotely from there full-time.

Where did you see that UTD has aeronautical engineering? They don't even have aerospace. Also UT is ranked way higher than UTD so why would I even consider UTD over UT? UT is ranked #10 for Engineering while UTD is ranked #76 in Engineering.

You said UT is a decent school. It's beyond decent. It's an affordable highly ranked university. UT makes UTD look like a joke. UTD's engineering programs aren't even worthy to be ranked. UT's overall Aero Engineering is ranked #8.

Also I don't have any need for the Hazelwood Act due to joining the Texas National Guard. I have 100% in state tuition assistance and I will pocket my MGIB.
