I would buy the most up to date model. These are POE Powered Over Ethernet! Look around at large office complexes, hospitals refit homes etc. they mostly all use this type of wifi extension. You download the software sign it into your modem assign a name and password and away you go. Different models are capable of different speeds and volumes. This is my model but it is 6-7 years old. Many better models exist. The cat6 plugs into a supplied power/ethernet connection power supply a shirt Ethernet cable connects from the suppled POE box to the modem. You will need to run only 1 Ethernet cable Edited January 23, 2024 by WeednFeed Awards

Than MikeB would have his way unless I started breeding and teaching the kids to runaround turning lights on and off. Scary solution. Aluminum is for hats. Trust me !! Kids turn the damn things on and do not shut them off. Same with cupboard doors !! They open them and dont shut them !! BUDMAN and Labob 2 Awards

My mesh uses 802.1/ac to that should give me 200 mbps so say 50 to 75 in real life that should be enougf for the OTA signal. I never though about my HDHomerun box it could be the choke point for the wifi signal ? So how would you test that box. Awards
