Neat idea. You'll have to let us know how well that works out. Trick will be the coordination of your feet and which direction you're pointing.

Only difference will be that I map the pedal to pressing my mouse wheel instead of moving my index finger to do it & accidentally rolling the mouse wheel instead, resulting in intended customer getting an emp to the back instead of kabar, turning around & shooting me in these misadventures.

I don't wear shoes in my home; they absolutely come off at the front door. 

Never understood people that drag filth from the streets & track it throughout their living quarters. 

I see the picture of the review where the numbskull is wearing work boots to use the pedal & complains of difficulties. 

Obviously not an industrial piece of equipment, which seems to be the case considering the concrete floor in the picture. 

I'm pretty confident the ball of one's bare foot will more than suffice.

Too bad they can't be separated so you could have one for each foot.  I'd never get this right

bring out 3-D printing and make your own padels and transfer over the electric guts  or cheap  just trim off the outter to allow wide foot to fit.

looking at this sort of looks is made for pets to selfserve drink, feed while your not at  home

Those have inferior optical sensors, I ordered pedals with mechanical switches.

No, I don't need to lift my hand to press the space bar upon which my thumb is already resting. 

Auto hopping would be predictable & therefore counterproductive. 

I time my tactical leaping according to my surroundings & the context of each individual situation.
