Timmah's secret ingredient ..

An Italian, a Scotsman and a Chinese fellow are hired at a construction site. The foreman points out a huge pile of sand and says to the Italian guy, "You're in charge of sweeping." To the Scotsman he says, "You're in charge of shoveling." And to the Chinese guy, "You're in charge of the supplies." He then says, "Now, I have to leave for a little while. I expect you guys to make a dent in that there pile." So the foreman goes away for a couple hours. When he returns, the pile of sand is untouched. He asks the Italian, "Why didn't you sweep any of it?" The Italian replies, "I no hava no broom. You saida to the Chinese a fella that he a wasa in a charge of supplies, but he hasa disappeared and I no coulda finda him nowhere." Then the foreman turns to the Scotsman and says, "And you, I thought I told you to shovel this pile." The Scotsman replies, "Aye, ye did lad, boot ah could nay get meself a shoovel! Ye left the' Chinese guy in charge of supplies, boot ah could nay find him either." The foreman is really angry now and storms off toward the pile of sand to look for the Chinese guy ... Just then, the Chinese guy leaps out from behind the pile of sand and yells . . . . . . "SUPPLIES!"

So I MAY still be gaming at night, they came and took and the damaged stuff today, will be a month or so until I get word on compensation. In mean time I said fuck it, found a 2nd hand PC desk online for 30 bucks, went and got it, and ill sit in basement, just me, PC and some good times decompressing while gaming! So, Sunday morning 730am I was woke by the wife screaming. She stepped out of bed into a puddle of water. I jump up and I can hear water splashing, go into bathroom and water is spraying massive amounts from behind toilet. Luckily the shut off at toilet stopped it when I turned it off. Head downstairs to look, living room and kitchen flooded, water coming from roof in kitchen, i hear more water downstairs, head down to my mancave in a panic, water is coming like a waterfall from the light fixture in middle of room and theres 6 inches of water on floor!!! 4 acoustic guitars are in 6 inches of water, one being my Moms who just passed last month and another being my Dads who passed 3 years ago. My $2000 Marshall tube amp is soaked. Luckily ny high high end guitars were on guitar hangers on wall and undamaged, got a friend to come pick them up right away as the humidity alone will damage them. Like $10,000 in guitars on wall Today insurance coming to get all the water damaged stuff and Sunday we are moving into the townhouse literally next door that was vacated last month and fully renovated. Lost alot of precious to us things, stuff from my Mom and Dad and no money amount can replace Going to be a hectic week, no pc desk as it was damaged (pc ok thankfully, was up on a side table and power bar/surge protector was on table too so out of water. Have to pack up house, ya normally got a month or two to plan a move, we have days and im stressing big time! 20250330_074907.mp4

That's bad man .. good luck getting it fixed. Same happened to us a few years back. Went on holiday at Xmas, got 2 taxis back from the airport. I'm in the 2nd one and when I get home everyone wife and kids are stood at the front door not going in. I think .. it's gotta be bad! It was! 3rd floor sink had cracked a pipe and water had been dripping through 2 floors for days. Took insurers ages to dry out the walls with massive industrial fans. Luckily no precious items lost. Wish you good luck & patience.

Damn! That sucks, man. So sorry this happened, especially at such an awful time for you and the family. Glad your guitars are okay (big SG fan, eh?) and you're still able to play while you recover from this crap. Good luck with everything, pal!

Holy crap Storm, that sucks. Never had a flood that bad so can only imagine what you and the miss' are going through. Take care and hope you get all this sorted with insurance with as little hassle as possible.

My babies that were on the wall and safe. One on left is one of only 100 made that year in that color, next one is older than me, '72 deluxe, used by my favorite band to record their debut album, 2 over from that is a custom The Walking Dead guitar, one of 215 made, my Dad won in a contest and gave me, and the one on far right is all signed by my favorite band. All invaluable to me, and luckily safe and sound

As some of you know from the UK XI get together last year, and previous Zoom gatherings I have had a problem with my throat for over a year and kept losing my voice. Doctors kept telling me on 3 seperate occasions that it was due to Covid or should I say long Covid . Well about November I lost my voice almost completely only the odd day where i was remotely audible. After waiting weeks to see my Doctor I finally got an appointment 3rd January. Thankfully my usual Doctor was off sick so I had to see a Stand in, And the first thing he did was refer me to Hospital. 2 weeks ago I saw the ENT consultant who after asking me numerous questions shoved a camera up my nose and down into my throat, Well I have 3 or more growths on my Vocal Chords, what they are we do not know yet. But I am going into Hospital 7:30am this coming Monday for Biopsies to determine what happens next. Now I am not under any illusion that this was inevitable after 43 years of Smoking, but it is a major kick in the teeth after the wife having bowel cancer last year It would have been nice to have one year without any Crap. But No matter what one way or another I will get through this and then you wont be able to shut me up I will keep you all updated once I have any information. Take care all Rob (Baldie)
