omg this is a first, I actually agree with Rob! What a great idea!!! Maybe not the bollock name, but those other ones, YES! More : Watchout, Tighten the hatches, Blow the Man Down, Yikes it's a coming, Thar She Blows, ... especially for the intense looking storms brewing. If you live by the ocean, it is only temporary residence, gotta have lots of insurance.

Yep, the old should I rent or should I buy (borrow) question... Well, we have bought and sold and rented out places over the years and always, ALWAYS made out well by buying (borrowing to the hilt sometimes). Trick #1. Buy wisely, do NOT pay retail, if it is overpriced, you will not do well come selling time. If possible, go ahead and get your real estate license in your state (or marry one or have one in family) so that the commission stays in family. Take the time, plan ahead, search, research, check out EVERYTHING about an area, the land, under the land, over the land, you see what I am saying, BUYER BEWARE. Trick #2. Do any repairs, upgrades, painting, rebuilding, landscaping YOURSELF!!! DO NOT PAY others to do what you damn well can do by yourself!!! Shesh AND learn to do a thing before you do it, FIX IT/UPGRADE IT RIGHT! Trick #3, IF you have to sell/move to another area and must sell, well, consider renting it out, but for heavens sake choose your renters wisely! GET lots of money upfront (first month rent, last month rent, damage deposit) and have in writing what they will and will not do (example, make them take care of the landscaping mowing, weeding) if in town YOU be the manager of your rental house, if you have to leave it under the care of someone else, MAKE SURE THEY ARE REPUTABLE and not going to just take your money and not inspect and manage the property. COME ON PEOPLE, we are human beings, we can do this! (Is it some work? Yes, complicated like brain surgery? No.) OK THEN. As always, 2 cents https://www.nerdwallet.com/article/mortgages/home-buying-checklist-steps-to-buying-house

I always ask myself - who gains, who suffers, what is affected, why is this important, and is there a hidden agenda/goal for the profit of just a few vs everyone/everything else? That is how I determine propaganda. https://www.historians.org/about-aha-and-membership/aha-history-and-archives/gi-roundtable-series/pamphlets/em-2-what-is-propaganda-(1944)/what-are-the-tools-of-propaganda (some of the tools propagandists use are catch phrases and the use of symbols - one brilliant catch phrase that worked to get a killer freed was by using the term, "If the glove don't fit, you must acquit." (O J Simpson trial) And a famous propaganda symbol is the red MAGA hat. Some regard the hat as a symbol of patriotism and loyalty, to others it is a clear and present example of a symbol of hate / Nazism in USA. 2 examples of propaganda)

Next, look at content, now that we have established that the source of said article above was produced by a far right wing propaganda machine... GLEN BECK (uck) A snake oil salesman if I have ever seen or heard one. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glenn_Beck Yes, indeed there is a problem! As what happened to Germany in the 1930's (Nazism, Hitler, Dictatorships, Far Right Extremism to which includes Japan), it is happening, has happened, and can happen here in the USA, as well as other 1st world countries. As far as the amount to be spent the above article says $700,000,... I would be willing to bet that amount is much higher than that. I say this alot, humans are the most dangerous species on earth. As long as there are folks trying to stomp out others "freedom" to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness by suppressing say, women's rights, or LGBTQ rights, or the will of the majority to vote in their political leaders, well then we do have a problem. If the far right groups are using gaming platforms to recruit, indoctrinate and subjugate others, well we do have a problem now don't we? Dangerous times when we elect greedy, selfish idiots into office. 2 cents

OK.... SOURCE.... LOOKED IT UP --> OH, IT IS A PROPAGANDA MACHINE. Conservative political commentator Glenn Beck launched The Blaze as a commercial alternative to mainstream media outlets in August 2010. What originally started as an “online-only network” that featured Beck’s TV show has grown into a multimedia entertainment platform that hosts podcasts, radio programs, cable news, and the entertainment streaming service Blaze TV. However, its most unique feature is the ensemble of online conservative commentators paired with its internet-based network which attracts half-a-million subscribers, making this media business one of the most profitable in today’s conservative media ecosystem. Yet, critics would say this is at the cost of true journalism, leading The Factual to ask how biased and factual is The Blaze. Note: The Factual’s analysis is specific to online written content and does not include tv, radio, or other media products. How Factual Is The Blaze? The Factual’s news-rating algorithm analyzes more than 10,000 articles a day along four metrics: author expertise, publication history, writing tone, and cited sources and quotes. These metrics combine to produce a single percentage score — what we call a Factual Grade — which indicates the overall quality of an article. (See our How It Works page to learn more.) For this study, we analyzed 1,000 articles each from 245 major news sources. Over a dataset of 1,000 articles, The Blaze scored an average Factual Grade of 53.4%. This is below the average of 61.9% for all 240 news sources that we analyzed. This places The Blaze in the 15th percentile of our dataset. These low scores are explained by The Blaze’s tendency to publish articles that lack quality news sources, use less supporting evidence for their claims, and feature authors with low expertise on specific topics. The Blaze has experienced numerous layoffs in the past few years which may be a contributing factor to these scores. Like any news source, scores for articles from The Blaze varied widely. For example, some scored above 80%, while others scored below 50%.

Kangaroo attacks man, stops paramedics from saving his life
Majbasil replied to Bosun's topic in General Discussion
My first reaction, hmmmmm, 1. maybe the old man asked the kangaroo to kill him for him as a favor (chronic pain, terminal cancer, just severely depressed kinda situation) 2. maybe the old man abused the kangaroo and the kangaroo had reasons for this (do not abuse animals) just sayin... How do I feel about this situation? Sad. So thanks for that story, I am so bummmmmed out now, I am going to have to get to gaming to get over it. See you idiots in the maps! -
Cool cool!!! See ya in the maps

I do not think it is a North vs South thing, to me it is a tastebud thing. My vote - Hellman's all the way, it is perfect. Duke's is a close second. As for the other two, I'll be honest, I will actually spit it out if I go to a restaurant or "party" and have like potato salad or anything really that has that sweet goey icky texture and flavor in my mouth, yuckie. I figure those that are used to eating loads of sugary things see no problem with them. Having grown up in the South, I must admit most folks would use that awful "Salad Dressing" junk and think it was real mayonnaise, but alas it is not in any way French. 2 cents

CAPRESE SALAD... heaven on earth In addition to peak-season tomatoes, you need these 5 simple ingredients: Fresh mozzarella cheese. Look for soft, spongy mozzarella balls that are packed in water. Use a good sharp knife to gently cut them into thick slices. You don’t want squished mozzarella! Basil. Only fresh leaves here! Dot them over the tomatoes and mozzarella whole, or gently tear larger leaves before adding them to the salad. Extra-virgin olive oil. It’s worth finding good-quality, 100% extra-virgin olive oil to use in this recipe, because you can really taste it here. Extra-virgin olive oil has a strong, fruity flavor that’s a great finishing touch for the juicy slices of tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil – I don’t recommend using another oil in its place. Freshly ground black pepper. If you don’t already have a pepper grinder, now’s the time to get one. Grind it straight over the salad for the best flavor! Sea salt. I like to sprinkle the salad with generous pinches of flaky sea salt, such as Maldon sea salt. Regular sea salt will work too, but skip the iodized stuff here. It has a slightly bitter taste that can stick out in such a simple dish.

When you are playing, your name reminds me of a commercial, something about a "Hot Toddy" (a snack? Not sure) anyhow, so I went to you tube to find it, and found this silly commercial from the 1950's...didn't know there was a beverage called Toddy, but here you go. I will look for more silly stuff for you about Toddy. Found lots about the drink Hot Toddy. OH, now I figured it out, it is not a commercial about HOT TODDY, it is HOT POCKET. lol OK this is what I sing when you are playing the HOT POCKETS commercial jingle.

lol ... Here is my thinking about the big bang... Yes, a big bang happened, I happen to think that there are more big bangs that happen, that just one big bang did not start things from a void of nothingness, that big bangs happen from time to time in some of the universe space. The universe is apparently never ending, let's try to wrap our heads around THAT, but maybe our little brains, yes they are bigger than other animals on earth so far, but our little brains have a hard time "seeing" these concepts of time/space/energy. How about we let the genius among us figure it out and tell us what is what, of course with data and proof to explain it all, with the caveat that as our knowledge of things changes, so does our understanding, so we must adjust our "facts" as needed. For me, I listen to what Einstein had to say about it for the most part. Makes sense kinda to me... https://www.iop.org/explore-physics/big-ideas-physics/big-bang#gref https://www.ranker.com/list/greatest-minds-of-all-time/walter-graves OK now for the silly part... do you watch Stranger Things? I find it funny, interesting, horrifying and hmmmm makes you think kinda... Get this --- ok enough of this ... off to the maps

We have a smoker in the garage, takes up space imho, and it has 5 shelves and if it were up to me I would not bother. But oh my goodness the smoked foods my hubby puts out... example: Smoked salmon (with toast points, and a dill caper onion sauce) HEAVEN. Ours works great, I have nothing to do with it, or grilling anything for that matter, but this link should help those looking for one find a great one. https://bestreviews.com/patio/smokers/best-electric-smokers Recipe for smoked salmon on toast points: 6 oz. cream cheese softened ▢2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill ▢1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice ▢4 slices whole grain sourdough bread toasted ▢¼ lb smoked salmon thinly sliced ▢¼ cup thinly sliced red onion ▢2 tablespoons capers ▢1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh chives ▢salt and pepper to taste INSTRUCTIONS Add the cream cheese, dill, and lemon juice to a small bowl and stir until combined. Season to taste with salt and pepper and stir again. Spread the cream cheese mixture on the toasts. Top with the smoked salmon, red onion, capers, and chives.

Well, interest rates really still are low historically. If you must buy THAT car, even if it is more than your budget can afford, there is the lease option. I am a big believer in keeping what you have and taking care of it, buying what you can afford not what you want. https://advisor.visualcapitalist.com/us-interest-rates/ 2 cents
