I had an issue up till yesterday. I would see server 1 and 3 sometimes, but not 2, then i would only see server 1, it didnt make any sense. I tried clearing and verifying the game cache, but nothing worked. So outta curiosity I went into my router and setup a DMZ on my computer, and now I see all 3 servers. Hopefully that may help you.

look for   XI black ops ranked server 1,2 and 3

not xtreme or something .

all filters are set on yes and all.

open steam , go to games , right click on cod black ops multiplayer , properties ,local files ,verify integrity of game cache ,click on it , this will update your game , after that open black ops mp and try to find the servers , if you find click right  on them and add to favorites.

hope  this will help ;)

I'm still having problems getting servers to stay in my Favorites list. I add them, but they don't show up.

LOL, I tried that day after day , didnt help me till I created a DMZ on my IP. You may have to open some game ports if you dont want all the ports open like a DMZ does

A router normally stops incoming Internet traffic from getting on your network, unless the traffic is in response to one of your computers or when using port forwarding. But instead of discarding the incoming traffic or using port forwarding, you can send incoming traffic to one computer on your network by establishing a "Default DMZ Server". (DMZ = humorous reference to "Demilitarized Zone".) This avoids you having to figure out what ports an Internet application wants — by throwing all ports open for that computer.

For regular network operation, NETGEAR recommends you do not use a DMZ. A computer with DMZ loses firewall protection, and is exposed to exploits from the Internet. If compromised, your own computer can attack the rest your network. Instead of DMZ, use port forwarding, as described in How is Port Forwarding Configured?

However, the DMZ server feature is helpful:

  • When you have a problem connecting to an Internet service. Setting up a DMZ will determine whether a closed port is responsible for the problem.
  • With some online games and videoconferencing applications that are incompatible with NAT.

Most all routers have access to a internal webpage that controls the routers connections. Newer Netgears you can access the page by typing routerlogin.net into a browser, by default the username is admin and password is password, unless you have changed it.  For others you may try using 192.168.0.1  or 192.168.1.1

You can also click start>run box type cmd and enter>a black box will appear>type ipconfig/all

now you will see a few lines of numbers, look for the default gateway, that should be your routers IP

These are the ports to use for port forwarding if you don't want to leave your router wide open in DMZ mode;

 CoDBO- port 3074 TCP/UDP

Steam- CoD7OPS1 port range 27000-27015 UDP

           CoD7OPS2 port range 27015-27030 UDP

           CoD7OPS3 port range 27014-27050 TCP
