If you don't know your stuff, I believe there is an online manual you can review. Wasn't too difficult as long as you read the questions carefully. Multiple choice questions can be tricky if you don't read them right. Now that you need a license for any size of craft with a motor, better to pay the $50 rather than get caught without it. I was out on the lake today 3 foot white caps had to run the bilge pump. Water came over the top every second wave.
