I moved to a new location that has seriously fucked up internet problems. I been through this before with this company COX and it took me 5 visits.. many painful phone calls.. and me really having to apply pressure to fix their shit. I showed them exactly where the problem was

 

but I understand what they are doing..... limiting band width to CERTAIN neighborhoods. 

 

I will win this battle but know better how to fight it. Just may take me another 3 fucking months.

 

SO if you see me lagging.. I am sorry.. i try and stop in my tracks as soon as I do or just leave. No lag switch.. just my penis in hand

If you have the time, do what I did....

 

I was having serious C.I. & lag/ latency issues with Knology - so I called theiir Cust. Service line 2-3 times per day - EVERY DAY - for about 3 straight weeks.  I guess they keep logs of how long a customer keeps their Cust. Service people tied up on long phone calls, while other customers wait & get angry.

 

After complaining enough, one of their Sr. Managers called me & told me "there isn't much we can do", and "calling so often wouldn't help".  I politely told him I would continue to call EVERY TIME I had a problem, and that I was posting on our Facebook account about the never-ending problems with their service.   **Miraculously* a few days later, our service area got an upgrade,  and service has been pretty good since then.

 

The moral of the story.... be persistent, COST THEM MONEY - and maybe they'll cut their losses and actually give you better service.

 

Sometimes being an asshole pays off.....

Usually when you call some support center, you end up with someone who doesn't have the decision making power.  That's where you ask to talk with the manager on duty.  Now if you are limited on choices of service providers, that does take a little bite away but persistence is key.
