A day I will never forget. The loss of life right before our eyes. Nothing will shock me like it did that day....... NOTHING!!! Then thinking and thinking about it over and over trying to figure it out and make sense of it. Then we started to feel it our economy... what changes we have seen.. if you pay attention. Now we are feeling a huge wave and the wave will get bigger....... is your dollar worth as much as it was? Is it going to have more worth in the future.... We are feeling it. Loss of life that day and the days after... what can you say. Tragic to say the least. We have sacrificed lots but even much more after 911. 911 started a new kind of education for me.. and many in America or so I hope. God bless this world... I dont want to leave anyone out. But it's also a day to recommit ourselves to protecting this nation and our families; and to take the fight to the enemy wherever he is, and keep it there however long it takes. To that end, I deplore the administration removing our troops from an active theater where we are killing those who want to kill us, merely for politics sake; and I hope the next administration recommits to the battle the full force of the U.S. military. It may well be that we will not see a military victory in the sense that we will defeat terrorism for good. But we need to keep killing them there, so that they do not attack us here - never again!!! They were firefighters that served with me in the Navy. I will never forget and I will always honor their memory. They were truly heroes in my mind. I am saddened when I remember the horrible news of the event. I will never forgive or forget what they did and I will never forgive or forget the stupid cowards that committed the act. They and all those who believe like them are cowards. I would say other words but I would not want to be banned. God rest the souls of our heroes. Amen. Mark. The images that most of you have seen are nothing in comparison to witnessing it with your own eyes. The sights and smells of that day and the days following are burned into my memory. I worked a half a block away from the north tower. When the first plane hit, nobody knew what happened. One minute later I was at the scene. Chaos was occurring all around. Firemen and police were pouring into the area from every direction. I was standing just a few hundred feet from the north tower when many poor souls who didn’t have any other choice began to jump to their deaths. They started falling all around. Their bodies exploded apart into a pink spray. The horror unfolding before me made me run from the area. That saved my life. When the second plane hit, burning jet fuel and debris fell at the spot where I was standing a few minutes earlier, killing many of the onlookers. I am thankful that I survived that day.
