I have the same problem with one of my four monitors setup. Are you sure it is your computer freezing? Have you tried turning off the monitor and turning it back on as that works for me. If that dont work it may be the video card. Check to see if it is still under warranty.

The best way to see if your computer is not responding is to hit the numlock key repeatedly. if withen the 4th to 10 time the light on the keyboard does not blink on and off your computer has froze. At that point keep track of the time. When you start your computer back up type in the run box event viewer. Start that.. Now try and find the time that it crashed and that will tell you what happened.

If we can hook up on teamspeak I may be able to crossloop you and try to give some assistance.

If it is the Video card you can mail it to me and I can attempt to re-flow the GPU for you.

Maybe it's time to stop to buy gifts for children and buy a new computer for you Yop ^^

XP or Seven? If it's XP and you have not formated your disk since a long time, probably your problem comes from it. no? Undecided

You can run this tool (WhoCrashed) to read the mini dump file created from the blue screen; www.resplendence.com/downloads

I would guess either video card overheating or power supply.

I read this post earlier Yop and from what I seen while Googling it may be your ATI drivers. If you got the minidump error in the log then it is more likely windows shut down than the PC just crashed.

Check your disks for errors and after that run System File Checker to see if there are any windows files corrupted

  1. Open Command Prompt.

Important: You must run Command Prompt as an administrator in Windows 7 and Windows Vista to use System File Checker.

  2. Once Command Prompt is open, type the following command and then press Enter.

    sfc /scannow

I had a similar problem with my system just recently. I was baffled. Well it is finally fixed. Quite a long process but it worked. I uninstalled the video driver. Rebooted then i uninstalled the sound driver. Rebooted.....Ran driver cleaner. Rebooted...Installed the video driver...Rebooted.....Reinstalled Sound driver. Rebooted...

It works fine now.

The reason I did that was of the ATI driver come with a high definition sound driver. I dont know if that was the problem but it worked.

Also when your computer locks up take a note of the time. When you reboot go to start and right above the start button type in there     event viewer        in there you will find the exact error. Google that error.

Dust is a bad thing and sorry mate its a trial and error thing.
