Prayers for the people who are being affected by these fires.... There is a bunch going on here.... Some in the south west corner of colorado, Colorado Springs(waldo), Boulder and maybe 1 or 2 more too... I am starting to see the smoke from the Colorado Springs-Waldo all the way here in Aurora, CO

hundreds of homes damaged, gone for good... Almost 40,000 people evacuated from their homes... Animal Shelters are giving away free cats just to make room for owned pets or asking for supplies n etc. Safety Shelters are packed and over flowing outside grounds surrounding them shelters.

I know maybe 2 or so people from XI who lives down in Colorado Springs area. I have a few online mom club friends down there too, and they are scared, crying and pissed.

please stay safe!

When I went outside this morning I noticed how smoky it is here too. I imagine it's from those Colorado fires plus we have several burning around the area. Medicine Bow and Bridger-Teton National forest fires are not even close to being contained. Not so many people here to evacuate luckily but it's still a bummer.

yes it's bad what Colorado is going through. this summer is real bad extreme weather almost everywhere. where we are on the east coast it is unbearable heat with no relief in sight . we have fire bans all over and now were told that when the heat breaks we are going to get severe thunder storms and possible tornados. so from 1 extreme to the next Im just glad that our power is still on . it's tough what washington and alot of other states are dealing with . global warming yikes

cheers

it really is a sad deal. So far we have been very lucky here in arkansas so far. our fires have been cut down fast enough that they haven't spread too much. I have only heard of one that got out of hand yesterday, thanks to dumbasses shooting fireworks. 3 homes burnt, and a lot of vehicles. I haven't heard anything about it today, but it's over an hour away from here. our other ones around have been tamed and put out so far, but they are working to contain a small one on the highway close to our local electrical plant. it was a load of hay that caught fire on the trailer hauling it. also a house trailer is burning right now, fire fighters just arrived on scene there, so hopefully it don't spread. (i'm setting next to my scanner.)

prayers for all those in the path of any of them around the country.
