The whole night I was saying I hate that car with a passion. To continue with the story because it was way worse than zach explained. - To start we were just going to take the truck because it is much more reliable. We had to take the car because there were 4 people that wanted to go and only 3 seats in the truck. - I had to quickly put the front bumper back on the car and charge the battery - Everything was fine getting to the theater but I noticed the headlights dimming slowly - We watch the movie and get back to the car in 60-70 mile an hour winds and very heavy rain - we all got in the car and try to start the car....of course it wouldn't start go figure - I run over to some people just leaving the lot and ask them to come over and charge us up - We couldn't use any headlights and only use the windshield wipers when we needed them - I get blinded by high beams coming around one corner and almost got the car in a ditch - luckily we got through the city and got on the highway - praying that we got even close to our house there were branches everywhere and very dim headlights - we broke down about a mile from the house and decide to run back and get a vehicle it was about 1:30 am by the time we got to the house. once we got there it had stopped raining we head down the highway back to the car I don't know how we missed a fallen tree blocking half the road when we were walking but we did. In the truck we narrowly evaded hitting it. - we charge the car enough to get home and let the car go first in front of me just in case. - thinking this was all over I try to turn around......we get stuck in the mud. I was so fucking pissed we were in a small driveway so I floored it and peeled out of the fucking place and finally got home I look out my window and a transformer blew up 100 feet from the house lighting up the entire sky. We were heading out of town for a family reunion and had to come back so his sister could follow us. On our way back, the car threw a rod. So we get a ride back home and get the other car. We finally get to the reunion. When it was time to leave, my cousin-in-law was behind us and it had started to rain a bit. I guess her tires were bad or something, she was only going about 30mph but she slid right into us. We hardly had any damage as it was an old Ford Grenada. Her car on the other hand, a little VW bug.. all the seats came out.. our youngest cousin had a bloody nose and the wind shield broke.. go figure that one. So my hubby and his cousin decide to drive the car back to his house.. only about an hour away. I take all the kids and the cousins wife. About half-way home it starts raining... no biggie for us. But my hubby and his cousin are getting soaked in the car. At one point I glance in the rearview and notice that they have the windshield wipers on with no windshield. I started cracking up... They have towels on their head and shoulders, sun glasses (and it was mostly dark) and the windshield wipers on...
