A funny thing

In my computer I have installed in the normal case 6 gigabyte ddr3 ram 1333

A bar with 4 gb and one with gb with 2.

I bought the 2GB bar later with my specialist dealer.

I have insisted that the bar is clocked at 1333 mghz as my 4gb bar.

When I after a while the program running " Dr.Hardware" , I realized that the specialist dealer had sold me a bar of only clocked at 1066 mghz .

Does not interfere because of the higher clocked bar clocks automatically adjust to the low clock speed of the weaker bar .

Now I needed the 4gb bar for something else and had therefore only the lower 2 GB bar in my Pc .

Oh what can I say my computer runs much faster in COD4, as previously with 6 gb ram. And that with the weaker bar and only 2 gb !?

Well you live and learn.

That tells me so once again:

You can have the most expensive hardware , until everything works perfect together , does the pc only limited power .

it will run faster with the correct ram.works ok now but proper ram will increase performance.your limiting your performance with incorrect ram at the moment

another factor is windows changes the pagefile size on storage will make some differance for cacheing on ram is faster then storage

cpu, ram, storage have work in unison some MB like dual channel others triple channel depends on cpu/chipset

best read MB manaul and check that you have current firmware for your motherboard and chipset drivers

less is more .......for its like when you format a HDD 80 GB or 1 TB what is qucker

Do you see any improvement in load times?

I've had problems in the past when turning off the Page File.Lost and currupt program files and such. This was on a slightly older PC with Win XP and 4gb of memory.

I have not had any problems at all. And boots/runs much better. BUT you really need enough RAM to do that. As I was told...
