This is a story of
self-control and marksmanship with an "itsy bitsy shooter" by a woman facing a fierce predator.
What is the smallest caliber you
trust to protect yourself?

The 25 cal. Beretta
Jetfire:

Here's her
story:

While out hiking in
Alberta Canada with my husband we were surprised by a huge grizzly bear charging
at us from out of nowhere. She must have been protecting her cubs because she
was extremely aggressive.
If I had not had my little Beretta Jetfire with me
I would not be here today!

I wouldn't go any smaller than a .500 magnum.  You never know when you'll be sammiched between a bear and a moose and a mountain lion and a pack of wolves and a gator... just saying that would be a weird predicament.

as tbb has stated the punch line is missing

she shot her husband in the knee and she was able to make a clean get-away from the bear

A 25 is a screwy round.   Balsy move  for sure.  It didn't do nothing to a bear.   A 25 wont go through 1/8 inch wood.On a door.   I know I tried it and picked the bullet out. It sticks half way in.   Other then that.  A 25 is a man killer  sometimes.  too.   Its so slow that it has a habit of going in and  bouncing around , changing directions. and coming out somewhere completely else.    I have a bullet book .  And a case, where  it goes in a guys eye , goes  around in the skull, going down the neck  and getting lost in the chest area.

its funny bc the most lethal round is a 22lr  for the exact same reasons. one they start bouncing around they shred everything in its path
