Back in 2008 a local man caught a huge bass at a regional park in Santa Rosa called Spring Lake. It was weighed on a certified scale, pictures taken and there were witnesses, but because the fisherman didn't want to kill the fish and because there wasn't a certified IGFA weighmaster available, they set it loose. The world record from 1937 is 22 pounds 4 ounces, and this one weighed in at 22 pounds 8 ounces. Back in 1997 another fisherman caught and released a bass from the same lake that he weighed on a bathroom scale and said it was over 24 pounds. He also took pictures but because nobody witnessed it the story isn't credible. Either there is another monster bass in that lake or both people caught the same fish. I go there on occasion and wet a line. The odds of catching the world record are probably slightly better than winning the lottery, and they figure the record breaker would be worth a million plus dollars to the person who catches it, not to mention bragging rights and having that sucker mounted on their wall. http://www.bassmaster.com/potential-world-record-bass-california Awards

Does that Minn Kota move that boat along good? I have a motor guide and its getting tired so I'm looking at replacing it. I like the wireless foot controllers so you can fish from anywhere in the boat and still control the trolling motor. So ya its great and takes it well...!!!!! good story I woulda been shittin too thinking i was sinking . . . a relief when you find out the real problem was something simple. I grew up in southern California and spent some time on the ocean and i have experienced rollers like that but in a bigger boat (45') still was a bit freaky . I had one of those little bathtub bass boats and it was great. I still like to go bass fishing in my float tube when the water is warm. When I got married 30 years ago I told the wife "I don't chase women (he he) and I don't drink much but I smoke a little weed and I fish a lot" . .she is good with that. I think a man needs to fish for some time away from the wife and collect his thoughts . .or just party and relax. deerejon 1 Awards
