I've researched this problem and found a few instances where the player was simply overlooking one or both of those settings, but I could find no other people with the same problem you're having where it works on other games and not COD2. It just has to be a simple setting that's being overlooked, or maybe there is another setting in your config files where chat is set to "no". If you look at the config files there are these 4 settings: seta winvoice_mic_mute "1" seta winvoice_mic_reclevel "65535" seta winvoice_mic_scaler "1" seta winvoice_save_voice "0" Take a look and make sure they're set as shown I just looked and they are. Would I need to change them to something else or leave them as they are? Running XP still but thing is, my PC is 8 years old and I have put it through a lot so in all fairness, I kind of expected this to happen, not getting my mic to work. and 'trying' to kill LOM... get better then!
