Try running defraggler. https://www.piriform.com/DEFRAGGLER You will find out if there is something seriously wrong with your OS as it shuffles everything around on your HD. If your OS has been installed more than 2yrs it's a great maintenance tool anyway. However, considering that you say it crashes the most during a heavy load, @@iboomboom was right, it is prolly your PSU.

I would try to Re-seat the CPU and apply new thermal compound 1st and see if it helps. If it doesn't Pop 1 of your memory Modules out and try it.Then take both out and try the other one.If your still getting the same errors Unhook the DVD drive and pull out everything but the memory,GPU,CPU and the hard drive. I've had several PCs with Out Of Memory issues and most of the time it is either the CPU or memory needed reseated or 1 of the add in cards (mostly Modems or LAN cards) went bad or bad CD/DVD actually was shorting out internally.Had a few that ended up being just a Loose power connector on the hard drive.Others that the HDD would randomly shut down because of the Power Supply.Bad,Bulging or Leaking Capacitors on the Motherboard and inside the Power Supply will also cause the same problem. My memory timings in the BIOS and the voltage to the memory. I was getting all kinds of BSODs, everytime a differente hardware driver file. I suspected my GPU so I tried a couple different GPUs problem didn't go away. Ultimately I ran memtest+ test number 5. Found the artifacts and then found the proper timing voltage relationship with trial and error. #2. My PSU was not of superior quality and had high varying voltage on the +12V rail (e.g. 12.5 12.7 11.99). The current amperage rating was at 35A and if I would overclock there were stability issues. It would crashes whenever I would run heavy tasks but they were random so there wasn't a pattern I could relate to it. Ultimately the PSU died, I bought a nice $90+ PSU (62A, 12.5V solid) and I can overclock my system to 4.0GHz no issues. It stays stable doesn't give any more random BSODs. When a system gets old, the first thing in it to die of old age is the PSU. Followed by spinning HDDs, followed by anybody's guess but likely audio or video card. The motherboard PCB is sensitive to flexing. If you move your motherboard and at any point it bent even the slightest that will most certainly compromise the internal circuitry of the PCB layer. Your CPU going off like that is a 1 in 100 million shot. The manufacturing process for CPUs makes it very hard to build CPUs that would just die that unless of course abused. Go in the BIOS and watch voltage on the +12V rail see if it fluctuates. By the way my PSU that died was 3.5-4 years old. Benrith 1 Awards

I just remember your mobo died cause you shipped your fully assembled system across the country through regular shipping. You do know the conveyor belt used by the shipping companies movies at 40mph and they don't slow it down on the corners. The boxes hit, and bump in to each other. Also, I don't recall if you ever tried a different PSU to verify if it was just the mobo. Your case is way different than his. I just remembered this as I was going back on this thread to see if I missed any detail. @@eidolonFIRE. Awards

Looking at many articles on my issue a lot of people are indicating that it is my PSU that is at fault, followed by my HD then GFX. As i've been given permission to buy a new GFX then I I'm gonna buy one any way.Currently looking at this, I know it seems a little cheap and not what i expected.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Silent-750W-ATX-PC-Power-Supply-Unit-With-120-mm-Blue-Cooling-Fan-750-Watt-PSU-/281274106148?pt=UK_Computing_PowerSupplies_EH&hash=item417d3e4124 Some good reviews i've read so far but what are your thoughts. I take that back. It could still be memory related due to DX loading to memory during gaming. Most likely not CPU or GPU related though. Were you able to run that memtest for a good 12 hours? Just set it to run overnight and see what you get. This is a bad DirectX driver issue. When is the last time you've reformatted and installed Windows? If you know how to zip and upload the minidump we could probably figure out exactly what it is. Edited October 1, 2014 by OddJob001 Fir3Marshal 1
