The boys should be rightfully proud of the Tiger I they got running. Visual masterpiece, and the acting wasn't bad. Can't really get into the final scenes. One Sherman, disabled, holding off how many troops? They might have put up a fight, but it would have been brief. I saw it at the Cinema back in October, thoughts exactly about the ending m8 300 Waffen SS troops taking on one tank, they might have lost a few men when the initially stumbled across it but i don't think it would have took them long to surround it and take it out with all the Panzerfausts they were carrying, but Hollywood don't like to see you lads ever losing lol, i still enjoyed the film as a whole, it was pretty brutal in parts, i actually ordered the Blu Ray, out middle of February i think. It was terrible and not realistic. Once I saw PAK 40 anti tank rounds bouncing off of Fury I left. The PAK 40 had no problems penetrating any allied tank, except some of the heavy Russian ones. The acting was way melodramatic. The Germans were made to look inept at taking out tanks, which they weren't. They were very, very good at it. The whole thing was a sad and very poor effort. Point blank range for a pak, and they miss? When they do manage a hit, it glances off? Only in Hollywood. At that point in the war we had droves of P-47s roaming around Germany aching for something to unload 5" rockets, 500lb bombs, and belts of 50 cal. Into. Why send M4's into a killing field? Side note, a StG 44 is a wonderful weapon, but damned clumsy to drag out of a turret hatch. I'm following Mikey's and SOB's advice, enjoy it for what it is, a movie.
