On our way to the dentist's office we were hit by a semi. We were in the passing lane, he came off the ramp and came straight over into us. Never stopped. We chased him for 2 miles (since we were not totally disabled) before he decided to stop and pull over. Passenger side of the car (where I was sitting) is trashed. Most of the damage looks to be cosmetic, but we all know how looks can be deceiving. Frame is bent. Damage to front axle. If he actually gave any reasons as to why he hit us, or why he did not stop, I did not hear any - but I was stuck in the car and he had to deal with my husband. (You all would have had a good laugh if you could have seen me finally climbing through the car to get out.) As of yet we have not heard anything back from his insurance company, and I suspect that when we do its going to be a hassle because of no citation being made and no witnesses pulling over to help. That happened to me a few years back, not with a semi, but a local school district truck ran a red and tagged me pretty good! No one citied, no witnesses! Go figure in Scottsdale, AZ.
