for years I played under doc, well, since that is what I do.  recently some former action guy friends brought me back onto the fold.  to honor those I served with I changed my gaming name to a phrase familiar to them.  that and De Oppresso Liber was too long.  hope that answers your question.

the phrase nous defions Is French and translates to "we defy" .  it  was used by the French resistance during WWII.   when I was in Special Forces it was our motto.  for those interested there is plenty of companies making t-shirts and hats with the emblem you see as my photo
