Does anyone have soldering skills that can  wire a temp usb cable to it?

what version of usb  2 or 3 ?   why solder when usb extension cables are available at Staples $6.00

if connection broken on stik  heat up iron then unplug it  then solder connection

 

if using a cheap tron

It is USB 2.0 the easy one. I have a USB cable stripped and ready to solder on the board.

In the picture the two center conductors are the problem. The PCB was ripped off leaving no conductor to connect. The solder point needs to be attached on the other side of he PCB in two locations. The other two outer connectors can be solder back easy.

Do the two center pins have vias to the other side? (Aka through-holes)

yea but I would need to do a continuity test to verify each run as it goes under the memory chip so you can't see where it goes. Them two skinny lines in the middle... them are the two connection that go under the memory chip.

 

I found a place local that is willing to look at is and see if they can find solder points to connect to. They have repair before but some are harder than others. :) 

 

I'll let you know the results.

So I take it the plug got bent and it ripped the copper up?

Yea.... I drove 30 miles each direction to get there and they said no way.

I got a plan. I am going rig the USB cable to needles. Then used them as probes as see if  can make a connection.

I too hard headed to give up.

check pinout for usb 2   to get correct polarity of  power and  data  connections
