Changing out a garbage disposal isn't too hard and you are "handy" enough to change a light switch I'm sure you can handle it. Good luck and let us know what happens Awards

Pick a new one up at home depot and you can swap it out in an hour or two. If you aren't sure how there are probably a hundred how-to videos on youtube. Also make sure that there isn't a water leak in the wall behind the sink that might be shorting out the socket that the disposal is plugged into. Turn off the breaker and pull the plate off to make sure it's dry in there. Mule and Leadfinger 2 Awards
