People ragged on bale playing batman, and now apparently he's the standard to compare too. People ragged on heath ledger playing joker, and now he's the standard to compare too. Worth remembering that in this universe batman is well established, so no need for introduction to him, which cuts out a lot. And he continued, even as the guy scrambled away. He wanted the guy fired. "Actor arrogance," as opposed to "academic arrogance." I thought Val Kilmer played a decent Batman, but he was no Kurt Russell in "Tombstone." However, Val Kilmer also put on a magnificent performance as "Doc Holiday" in the same movie. No one, not even the illustrious, quintessential Jack, could match the brilliant performance as the deceased Heath Ledger did as the Joker, in my opinion. "Watch me while I make this pencil disappear." The upcoming movie, judging by the trailer, looks to be top-notch. Tom Hardy is a great actor but Mad Max stunk and it wasn't his fault, he hardly muttered a word for about 45 minutes, can't they think of anything new anymore.
