Did you uninstall steam by any chance? I wasnt think properly and uninstalled steam last week as I had a bug where it would contantly say that I am currently in game even though there was no game running at all. When I uninstalled steam it uninstalled all my games with it too so I lost over 300gb of installed games. I thought it was stupid , it should of uninstalled the application and kept the games but it deleted everything unfortuntely

This is why you move steamapps somewhere else before doing anything as far as uninstalling steam or just delete the entire steam folder then after installing steam just insert steamapps back into the steam folder and you still have all of your games.

In my entire experience of using Steam I have never seen it actually just disappear. Never changed my password unless I changed it. I've used steam for about 11 years now.
