Ok so tax time is upon us SKANKS !!!!! and so i will probably spoil myself with a little computer schtuff like gpu and new monitor (along with paintball gear and maybe a new 9mm pistol) but to the point.... I have settled on getting a gtx 1060 ftw. I say ftw purely for the fact i prefer the 2nd fan. NOW here comes the questions....

-Is 3 gb sufficient or should i be safe and get the 6

-Is the difference between the ACX 2.0 and 3.0 massive or does it not really matter ?

-What brand do you recommend (EVGA,MSI,Gigabyte etc) or better yet (brand to not get)

And if you have any personal recommendations or advice please spew it here... except hxtr im tired of your bs :)

Order it from a place that will take it back without a problem in case you have a problem. New Egg is good about it. I am a fan of gigabyte and have been since the 90's when they made just motherboards.

But sure that does not make much difference. As for 1060 why not get the 1070?

Why would you get a 1060 over a 970 or 980?

Not saying get the 1080 but minimum I would get is the 1070 or a 980. Ask to see if anyone has an old card cuz the looks of it the 1060 it is an old card.

Mainly price difference.... 980s and 1070s are $399-$499 and the 1060 is $260-$300 and truthfully according to all the benchmarks ive ran 1060 is highly capable of running the games i intend to with great graphics quality.

In regards to the video memory , its typically the lower 3gb card is the base model suited for single monitors, the 6gb models are for more than 1 monitor but have the same performance

Get the 6gb absolutely and enjoy turning the settings up, 3gb depending on the games you play could be a hindering factor.  Large maps/worlds will use that memory with settings turned up

third lift gently.

now if that does not work , box it up send it here and i will pick it up for you ;)

I have a Nvidia GTX 960 (OEM) I can run 4 monitors, but I'm only using 1 BenQ 27in. 144hz 1ms game to game. I run my resolution at 2560x1440, if I buy another card I can run it at 5120x3220. To be honest that's more than a person needs for gaming.
