Even with the Nvidia driver hidden in Windows update it still installed. Only way to keep it from reinstalling was to install the very latest driver (378.49) with network cable unplugged. Seems to be complaints about this all over the net. Has anyone else experienced this?

Was watching a movie on my media PC and it decided it needed the new nvidia driver AND that POS Anniversary Update even though I had Defer Upgrades turned on.Restarted my PC all by it's self in the middle of my movie and took about 30 minutes to install and restarted by it's self 3 times. Seems that Defering upgrades only postpones the fucking upgrades for 3 months. After that you have no choice but to get and install what ever they feel like installing on your PC Which seriously pisses me off.Oh it reinstalled all of those fucking APPS again and enabled all the tracking BS again that I had disabled.I don't Want or Need ANY of that bull shit especially on my gaming PC or my media PC. It does this so that a clean installation can be performed. Seems to be working so far, no more Nvidia drivers pushed through Windows update.

Did you do this? [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\DriverSearching]"SearchOrderConfig"=dword:00000000 or did you? Click Start, right-click Computer, and then click Properties. In the Tasks list, click Advanced System Settings. On the System Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab, and then click Device installation settings. Select No. or? Open Group Policy Management Editor. In the navigation pane, open Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Internet Communication Management\Internet Communication settings. In the details pane, double-click Turn off Windows Update device driver searching. a.To turn off searching Windows Update, click Enabled. b.Click OK to save your settings.
