Absolutely beautiful. The deer here, on Fort Knox, know when hunting season approaches & they'll move to the safety of the cantonment area, grazing in back yards & on the golf courses. They will even wait for traffic to pass before crossing the street, watching you pass mere feet away with a mildly-interested gaze. That I had to holler at old boy to get his attention shows their comfortable complacency. I remember riding my bike in this neighborhood some 43 years ago, crossing paths with groups of deer as I rode on the sidewalk, stopping mere feet away from them as they stood on the grass, looking back.
