So they stand on a tarmac highway and give the challenge, The person then smashes 100s of pounds/dollars worth of equipment with it, then they hammer a nail into a piece of wood whilst the wood is sat on a marble/granite worktop?

Why not just slam it into the concrete or the marble/granite. because the glass would break that's why
