It was in pieces, but too small. Took it home anyway. Base was broken & a friend recommended welding it with 7018. "You can't weld cast w/that!" Try it. I'm sold, 7018 lo-hi can weld cast iron. Yes you can 7018 (dry rods from the toaster oven) just need to pre-heat the whole leg and clean the weld area and weld it on a Pizza Stone for Oven to keep the heat in the cast iron to prevent cracking when cools, other weld rods is Ferro-Nickel. great to see preserving history LCB and the taste is real not microwaved an get real meat texture. yumm smoked meat: put a hickory slab under frying pan while cooking on stove top, use a hood that will fit over pan and has damper vents on it, to adjust flavour strength. Just hit the switch on my old Idealarc, grabbed a stick of 1/8" out of a sleave, & tacked one end. Hey, it acted like it wanted to weld. Tacked the other end, then short stitched back & forth to even the heat. Knocked the slag off w/an old chipping hammer. It rang like a new piece of iron. Awards
