OK, had a temp of 120 in the shade again for the 3rd day n a row. So, today I decided to try and cook an egg on the sidewalk....It really did work....

Here is a picture of my attempt. Mind you, it wasn't a perfect job. But it did work.

You used a Lodge pan? Aren't they made in Tennessee? Shame, should have cooked that egg on something made in Texas......

Bro is in SA, he says this year is a wash as far as livestock goes. Row crop is toast, yet, people still water their lawns and fill their swimming pools. Somebody needs to remember what living in an arid environment means.

Keep Kool Gorilla!

Visit Oklahoma! July was the hottest month in the history of the state. I think we are like 57 straight over a hundred, most of which were 110 or more in our city. By the way IT AINT NO DRY HEAT either.

Chance of rain tomorrow. We've been showing kids pics of what rain looks like so they're not traumatized.

I am supposed to come to Texas on business visiting the Dallas, Longview, Navasota and Houston areas. I am trying to make excuses until the weather breaks.

Can't say I like Texas and I certainly do not  like hot weather.

BTW, I hear some Texan's are going to be drinking recycled poop and pee. I heard one guy say at least he will get to drink his beer twice. Tongue out

We actually just missed the most consecutive days over 100 yesterday that was set back in 1980 at 42. We had 39 day in a row over 100. And over 50 with no rain in the DFW area.

Yeah I saw that on the news the other day. The towns water supply has dried up and they aren't getting any help from FEMA or anywhere else. So the are mixing it with what little potable water is left and filtering it a bazillions times.

My chocolate chip cookies were done in 4 hours sitting on a cookie sheet, even without direct sunlight.  I forgot to take pics, so I reckon I'll have to bake some more when the 100's return next week.
