I think for this amount of money you can build one on your own with even better components

Mamby.

The last one I built is certainly eight years ago.

The technology has changed so much and I have not really kept in recent years.

It is also equal 2 years warranty on the PC

So I start building it no longer

ok I bought an asus box computer almost like this one   you will be very disappointed.

the ram speeds will be slow the mobo is junk on them (they use a cheap non user friendly board)  I love asus but you dont want a pre built one I promise.  I gave my father my 6 month old store bought asus quadcore with 8 gb memory and a tb hd bc it was slow.  beware of the prebuilt systems  they look good on paper but they fail to preform like you want for the specs you have.  I can go take a pic of it and show you.  seriously ask the idiots on advice for parts and build it you will be much much happier

DON'T buy a pre-made computer......

A big no-no...if you need help, let us know how much you wanna spend and I'll see what I can come up with. Also, please post the URLs of the sites you can buy from.....

You in NL, there must be online stores there right?

you can get MUCH better stuff for the same price....I'm thinking 2500K, GTX570, 8GB RAM, SSD and storage drive....good case and power supply....

Do you need windows 7 with that? 64 bits is now a must....

This is just suggestions, mind you, but I browsed enough computer parts REVIEWS and stuff to know what's good at the time...

Keep in mind that AMD is coming with a new lineup of CPU's in the next few months (it's called BULLDOZER FX-line)..thse bulldozer will be available in 8-cores CPUs...Intel will issue new CPus also...Sandybridge-E...

I have problems posting links in this topic, FIREFOX is pissing me off...

A good coolermaster CM690 II Advanced for 70 euros...

The 2500K Cpu makes a lot more sense for a gaming build...+ aftermarket heatsink for a little friendly Overclock/free boost

8GB of Corsair DDR3-1600 1.5V would cost around 65Euros

A good 750 watts power supply....a 850 is even better for upgrade path...90-100 euros (corsair TX-series)

A good ASUS motherboard (I prefer) like the P8P67 Pro is good..the MSI P67A GD55 and GD65 are good too...Gigabyte are making good stuff, but I can't recommend models I dunno about...

you can grab 2 X 560Ti's from MSI (twin frozr II coolers) for 400 euros (this is the setup I got)....a single GTX570 TFIII for 300 euros..those are the good ones with beefed-up power phases....

The ASUS pre-build was horrid...a single GTX560 (non-Ti) ??? c'mon, it's just a rebadged and overclocked GTX460...

the GTX560 "Ti" on the other hand, has more CUDA cores and more raster units...a better, faster card....

If you want a nice balanced system, you might want to grab a single graphics card and put money into an SSD...it's a lot faster than a regular hard drive...I recommend a 120GB SSD if you can afford it...then you grab a 1TB Western digital BLACK for storage (67 euros)....

The good SSDs right now  (issues-free) are:

1- Intel 510

2- Crucial M4 (179 euros on Komplett for the 128GB version!!!)

3- Crucial C300

I ONLY suggest high quality parts that are known to be great, reliable and you can find all kinds of online reviews on...

I'm not saying everything else is crap, but Klompett doesn't store every brand. Also, there is some brands that are selling in EUROPE that aren't available in USA/Canada...

oh and to add to the caviar black hd make sure you go with the sata6.0 64mb drive its is twice as faast as my 3.0 32mb black drive. I put the better 64mb unit in a friends build. I have a better cpu and higher memory but his smokes mine on most things. his load times are double. I am in the process of buying the 6.o 64 mb caviar black right now.  thats how much of a difference it makes. not quite as fast aas a ssd but still leaps and bounds above the 32mb versions.

BIG NO NO on the RAM!!!!!!

Sandy bridge needs RAM that runs at 1.5Volts for max compatibility and reliability...

And it has to be a dual-channel kit (the 6gig and 12Gb triple stick kits are not for sandy...)

so 1.5V is where it's at....

-Gskill RIPJAWS X 1.5V

or

-corsair Vengeance LOW PROFILE (the high profile ones interfere with some aftermarket AIR cooling...

Mushkin Blackline Frostbyte is running at 1.5V also....I had good luck with Mushkin in the past...

and I would add a Hard drive of at least 1TB capacity...for your storage!!!!

You should keep win7 and your 3-4 favorite games on the SSD, and the old shyte on the HDD...

+1 on nightmare's advice!!! you need a CPU cooler of better quality than stock...

Noctua is great...NH-U12P or NH-d!4 behemoth

coolermaster V8

Antec 920 Watercooler seems wild.

Corsair H80 watercooler seems great also

Coolermaster Hyper 212+ is CHEAP but  the best ENTRY level one...

BTW, the DVD burner you pointed to is IDE, you need a SATA one....

But overall, That looks pretty good now!

Do you have a few extra 120mm fans to use as an intake for that bottom intake and/or side panel in the HAF 922?

That rig is gonna be RAPE!!!!!

You can power two of those 570s with that nice power supply (so you have an upgrade path later on....)

The CM Hyper 212+ cooler is a good starter for a slight Overclock to 4.2GHz to 4.4GHz...which is SO EASY to do, it's almost a sin not too...

If you want to rech higher Overclocks (not a real need for it) you could spend more later on another cooler. If you really need somethign even better, just let me know...

Spedcial thanks too CplMOFO

My wife works at the hospital.
They would first contact the hospital.
As an employee she can buy a computer, which is cheaper for me.
They just need to see if these components can be delivered then.

Nice coolermaster V8 there Skunk...

You have a solid build! Maybe you could help Judge to put his together and/or give him your opinion on parts also..

Good thing I noticed the IDE DVD drive...nobody uses that in a NEW build anymore, but they're still out there at the store...SATA is the way to go!

Good luck to you Judge!

Yes one of most importent  things   by gaming is cooling  so a good case  with enough fans and cable manegment you need first and a other cpu cooler than standard

This case the haf x  is one  of the best cases  and it make not much sound   because  the 200mm fans cools a lot with low noise
