my son has a computer and his is his specs.

 

 

 

I5-2500k

4gigs Ram

GTX260 sli

650 watt PSU

Plenty of cooling in case.

 

he is running it on low settings and it still crashes after about 5-10 mins.any help would be greatly appreciated

did he try the drivers i told him to ..i was running 2 260 o/c and never had the prob ..we have about the same pc..but i am running 16 gigs of ram ...now with the new card i have no probs ..

ya he rolled back his drivers and we have got it to play for now he probally needs a 5 series card so .but he can play it for now.Thanks TSW

THERE ARE SOME GOOD DEALS OUT THERE ..on the 560 ti ..but the one i have is still 299.00 but it is 1 bad ass card ..

try decreasing the resolution to get more fps ..

 

limit your fps in game ..try to make it steady FPS ..not sure what s the command for it in game for bf3 ..I have 2 look into it..

I see it is a 4GB system. You haven't described the crash but if it is the game freezing up and/or "Battlefield 3 has stopped working", you may like to try the simple fix described here to increase the amount of memory available to the game. It solved my problems (thanks again, xCaliber).

i think i got it fixed havent tried it yet .he has a 64bit system.
