Yep Cons : exept for specific needs (ex : professional, 3 screens with Photoshop, ....) no need to overclock the cpu, actuals i5 or i7 are enough faster. Just for bench... thats true most of the time.... but if you have a pretty fast GPU like a 580 GTX or the new highend ATI GPUs or a SLI/ CF setup the bottleneck of your sys will always be your CPU I am running 2x ATI 6970 in CF and I have a 4Ghz Core i5 750 OCed all you have to have is a good balance between CPU and GPU Awards

I've got the i7 965 Extreme...never overclocked it yet.got it set to auto with c1e state and two other ones that bring the cpu out of idle state disabled in my mobo bios.i figure i can do that myself..lol
