I agree. A good mouse makes a huge difference. I still love my Logitech G5 mouse I've had for years. You can increase the sensitivity on the fly too if you are trying to adjust to a different game.

Accuracy is important.

However some people have better reflexes than others. I would say for them that a higher sensitivity is better.

I like being able to move my mouse just a little and do a 180. I think it decreases my accuracy a little but then again I move through the field of view faster.

If you are putting 90% of your bullets where you want that is good enough. You'll lose the quick encounter occasionally but not enough to matter.

I have a standard mouse that came with my computer that I got 5 years ago lol, I can't spend any money on a new mouse because of school but with my shit mouse I still kick ass haha :2guns:, it has nothing to do with a mouse when it comes down to it, its about not rushing your shot, while your enemy is shooting at you that you take your time, aim and thenput a bullet in there head and being prepared to move that mouse from side to side or up and down. and if anyone wants to test this I will see you in BF3 :welcome: hehe

i somewhat agree and disagree

better mouse is important but not necessary ..but tweaking the mouse and their sensitivity helps so much when u are facing enemy ..u have to understand your mouse and your capability ..

I'm using the same mouse since years and it's f*cking great to change the sensitivity ingame directly from the mouse.

Nearly three months after I received it as a Christmas present, I unboxed the Steelseries Sensei, this afternoon.

I like the fact it glows orange... :w00t:

I downloaded the engine software (this mouse has the equivalent of a Pentium processor onboard!) but have stuck

with the default profile for the time being whilst I learn about messing with custom profiles. I reckoned that having

separate profiles for BF3 Land and Air would be a good idea but have to implement that. If you see a chopper flying

more erratically than usual, you'll know I screwed up! 80

That's a badass gaming mouse right there, I'm in love with my G5 especially the customizable weights for that perfect precision and feel but I like what I'm reading about yours. I don't like that there are no LED indicators on your mouse to show your current DPI settings, but I love the additional right side buttons and the other gazillion features it has. Those "exact-aim" and "exact-accel" features look incredibly cool, never thought I would see the day when a "smartmouse" for gaming would actually hit the market. Grats on your new toy Deejay that's a nice piece of hardware, very nice :smoke:

Anyone interested in Deejay's mouse, check this bad boy out:

I use a Microsoft Trackball Explorer that they stopped making in the late 90's. I have three of them and when one wears out I send it to a guy that rebuilds them for about $50. When a new one still in the box shows up on eBay they sell for nearly $200 because they're so popular. All of my movement while gaming is controlled by my two middle fingers and everything else with a thumb button. I simply can't play with a regular mouse, too fucking akward.

I've often though about buying the trademark rights to the discontinued mouse because it still has quite a following among graphic programmers.

R.A.T. 7 mouse with sniper button and 4 customizable sensitivity levels helps...unless you're easily distracted like me. I LOVE my RAT, but unless I turn off the iPhone and BlackBerry (work) and tablet and laptops and every other distraction, I will suck. As a COD WAW Freeze-tag player, the temptation to play with gadgets is huge as you can be frozen for long periods. When I am focused, the RAT gives me a serious edge.

taking your time in BF3 will get you killed I have seen many times a scoped head shot at short range while holding your breath miss because someone is shooting at you.

This can occur even if they never hit you and with no supression blur showing up. I use a g500 that I know alot of people hate since the lazer is not in the center it is forward mounted.

I run it set in the middle of dpi range for BF3 about 3600, helps for me to slow down to this speed for leading people with sniper rifles.

Headshot in BF3 are ridiculous, plenty of times all you can see is an enemies head and you get hitmarkers 2 or 3 times before you get a headshot. That is not counting sniper rifles.

3600 DPI????

Holy crap! and that is after you turn it down?

I run a range of 500-2000 with a reporting rate of 500 times per second, up to 2000 when I'm using soflam and down to 500 for running and gunning, at 2000 if I bumped the mouse I'd spin around 720 degrees when running and gunning, and you use 3600 for sniping? If I tried to snipe with 3600 DPI it would be like hunting with Dick Chaney lol

Loooove my R.A.T. 7. Three customizable configurations, a sniper button, mix and match parts to get the optimal shape for your hand, weights, built-in tool to make shape/size adjustments...it's a nice piece of engineering. It's by far my favourite mouse of several that I've owned over the past couple of decades.

I agree mouse sensitivity is important in bf3,especially having a variable Dpi that you can change on the fly.Currently i tend to stick to just 3 settings which are 1800 dpi for general play including sniping but if its a long distance shot i knock it down to 1200 and the last setting i use is in the tanks at 5040 dpi which i find good to make the turret turn quicker..I could use upto 28 settings on my mouse which has a switchable 7 mode option enabling me to have 7 different set ups including button configs but stick to just 1 to keep it simple...all from a sub $50 mouse,a Prestigio PMSG 1....very under rated and not very well known but very capable non the less..
