why the change to hardcore? what was wrong with normal mode?

But in all seriousness that is obviously the perogative of server admins and clan members. So it is a question to ask amongst yourselves. ;%29.gif

 

I can keep an option however that I have been playing around with. Keep health at 30. But on spawn give 30 points of body armor. Half the time it will be enough to stop one max damage round in HC. But once used thats it. No armor regen.

 

it is too easy to kill now. i hope its not because of people crying about putting full clips into someone and not getting a kill. hell, people are still doing that in the new mod.

On the chicago server, we had to use one entiere charger cause bullets didn't touch enemies. There, i'm just using a few bullets cause i know exacly it's gonna touch the enemy if I shot. I never use all my bullets personnaly at now. Easy to kill but just because bullets have effect.

Vandie is correct the chicago server is pretty close to perfect and the new server is great but different.Chicago still seems to fill up more because of it refinements.On the new server I think some of the new weapons are great and like the different maps but other then that its just different to me and not necessarily better yet but I do love to play both .So thanks for your hard work tweaking things..

i agree with vandie even though i still think hes a hacker

few ideas from what i hear listening to others alot people dont like the bunny hopping as it not realistic. 2nd jamming the r/c car i have np with a jam but jamming should have a time limit and then have to recharge or, if u jam 2 car before dieing it all used up. walking threw clays cus u got perk to jam radar and stuff again u can only plant 2 clays once u walk pass 2 clay and u come up to anouther the 3rd will kill . 3rd same as clays walking threw the gas think the mask should have set amount of time or can be used twice to go threw smoke/gas third time not effective. the last but probly most important need to be able to blow r/c car up. fixes when emp you lose your mini map for the whole game in certain situations.just some thoughts.

Trying a new idea for jamming. It doesnt freeze you. It deflects you from the player that has it. As for perks that only last for a limited time, no. That kind of thing is reserved for equipment that you either plant or use to kill.

What I don't get from this post, is why people are so opposed to change. I myself love the hardcore settings, there is no such thing as killing to easily if you ask me. I understand some people like the chigago mod better, is it not an option for you guys to keep both the mods running, and letting the people decide what they like best? I believe you have the server brackets for it, no? Just my 2 cents.

 

(Plus my opninion, I disliked the chigago server because even with the extra damage perks people still seemed to walk tru my bullets. Anyway it's your server so you guys should set it up the way you like it best ofcourse. But I will be dropping in way more if the eventuall MOD has the same feel the beta seems to have)

i have noticed that....you're becoming tooo good! LOL :D

 

beta is a good server. still few issues. but thats why it's a test server. overall i like i more than the chicago one.

IS THERE A WAY TO BIND A KEY TO /+ACTIVATE SO I DONT HAVE TO TYPE IT IN EVERY SESSION AND THEN AGAIN AFTER MOD KICKS ME OUT 5 TIMES A DAY.

AND WHY IS PISTOL DAMAGE HIGHER THEN ANY OTHER WEAPONS?YOU CAN GET 2-3 ROUND IN SOMEONE THEN THEY PULLOUT ANY PISTOL AND HIT YA ONCE AND YOUR DEAD??

WHATS WITH SWAY ON SOME WEAPONS BUT NOT OTHERS.SWAY ON NEW MOD BUT NO SWAY ON CHICAGO...ID LOVE TO SEE SOME CONSISTENCY AND NOT HAVE TO READJUST TO EVERYTHING EVRYTIME BETWEEN THE TWO MW2 MODS.VERY FRUSTRATING.

 

 

how to deactivate it? because when i use carepackage and i get a sentry gun it will only pop up when i die. cant call it in.

 

anyone has an idea?

Trying a new menu on my test server if you would like to check it out and tell me what you think. The 4 iwds are the same as those on the chicago server but the mod ff is different. Gameservers has been flaky last couple days but it seems to be working ok now.

Can I please request something be done on the beta with this car jammer? It doesn't work all of the time and when it does, it's a pain in the ass. I was killed twice by a car that drove right up to me and exploded when I had the jammer on.

 

At the very least, we should be able to counter the jammer with something else so the car works. What about snatch and grab...can that offset that stupid ass jammer? If nothing else, please fix it so it works all of the time...I know that Drama, Stan, Cobra and many others have had the same issue where it doesn't even work all of the time!

The original RC is pretty much a guaranteed kill every time with no defense. That caused the obvious complaints. Defenses were needed for a 3-kill weapon. So a few options if everyone wants to get rid of being frozen in place.

 

1: When in range of a jammer your fire button doesnt work.

2: Add an 'anti-jammer' to the same perk.

3: Jammer forces you to explode early.

4: Jammer slows you down to 1/2 normal player speed.

4: No jammer and max speed is limited to normal player speed.

5: No jammer and damage range is reduced.

6: No jammer and timer is cut to 20 seconds.

7: No jammer and raised to 5 kills.

8: No jammer and RC is affected by Novagas.

 

s&g is for completing objectives. In ftag defrosting is considered an objective.

i like option 3 or 4 that would cool with me...and i use the car...or keep it the way it is dont matter to me..oh just re read option 1 as well that would be cool too

I like option 1 and (the first) 4. 1 is good because it doesn't completely negate the car's capabilities. (the first) #4 is good for the same reason.

I'm working on hopefully getting the mod ready for testing.... yes again... and to Rugger for the Chi server this weekend to see if its ready for prime time, as the old saying goes. More poll results on this before then for what people want, or another option not on the list, would help. Some can already be done with server config changes but others need some code changes. And after that playing the mod even tho its in Chicago. :smoke:

 

One thing I want to see if anyone experiences spikes when changing or accepting loadouts.

Same for me, the first choice is good. I defroze until the last second, I don't really care about killing with the car because it doesn't count for the next killstreaks.

Well those are two different things and the mod being a later build doesnt necessarily translate into the old one inherently being better. Only that the server doesnt get much traffic. Maybe the location really bothers people and I wonder if the solution is to just have two NY servers to take that issue out of equation. Or maybe there just arent enough players to support two servers when one of them is 31. Pehaps two 24-player severs with one HC and one SC.
