Stories like this one happen everyday and you never hear about them. I am not going to get into why that is and I ask that you do not either because that would cause this to be a topic for the political section and not the shooting section. For those of you that don't know I am a law enforcement Officer and I could have been the Officer this citizen saved in the video. I hope this gives a few people food for though that are on the fence about getting their concealed carry deadly weapons license. You could not only save your life, but the life of another. I know me and my family would appreciate it. Edited December 20, 2012 by Sheepdog45 PingLo, eidolonFIRE, Hemps and 9 others 12

TRAINED!!! That's where most people get in trouble with some nut case! You best know what you are doing if you are going to take some screwball on in a gunfight! I know we have several families here on the website that takes the time to raise and train their kids around and how and what a gun is for. That should be standard. People don't want to "get involved" or risk their own safety. It doesn't matter if you happen upon a bad car accident before help arrives, helping somebody from a burning building, or like this man putting yourself in the line of fire. Minding my own business while somebody is at risk of losing their life has never been the way I live, and I think most of us here on XI are the same way. That man in New York that was thrown onto the subway tracks a couple weeks ago and was killed while hundreds looked on infuriated me. I don't necessarily blame the man who took the pictures because he was much further away than it appeared in the photos, but all of the people on the platform that watched it all happen should be ashamed of themselves. eidolonFIRE, baldie and GorillaXI 3 Awards

I myself had just had a situation last Saturday where I was driving up to North Carolina for work and the traffic was stopped due to construction. In the lane to the right of me was a cement truck stopped about 2 car lengths in front of me. It was rear ended by a woman who was going around 60 mph and never hit the breaks. I was the first person to block the accident scene with my vehicle and jump out to render aid. Unfortunately by the time I reached her car she was dead. More people need to be active in the wellbeing and concern for our fellow man/woman. Posted on December 15, 2012 at 10:41 PM CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Authorities identified the victim in a fatal wreck on Interstate 85 Saturday afternoon that snarled traffic four hours. Aquilla Hill, a Kentucky resident with family in Charlotte, died when she drove her Honda underneath a cement truck on the Mallard Creek Church Road exit, troopers said. She was in her 20s. Trooper R.A. Benge estimated that Hill’s car was going about 60 mph when it crashed into the truck at 2:14 p.m. Crews closed the two right northbound lanes and an exit ramp for more than two hours. I was raised with guns all my life, and it was taught to me that they were a tool, we hunted, fished ( ya, I know,But we only used them when we forgot our poles), and put animals out of there misery with guns. To bad its come to what it has, alot of good responsible gun owners are taking a bad rap for the nut cases. Awards
