Almost as bad as the Florida "Gators" putting a Crocodile on the cover of their media guide a few years back. Well, at least I guess you can still spend it. ;)

And these very-plasticy feeling bills are impossible to fold, stick together when you take them out of your wallet, and they have exceptional aerodynamic qualities when a strong gust of wind catches them. There's also rumours that they may not survive a tumble in a hot clothes dryer. Add a foreign maple leaf to the mix and we clearly have grounds to bring down the government and call a fresh election! Dog save the Freddy Mercury!

That seems kinda silly, in terms of the new weird money it does not feel right at all. Lol i remember my aunt telling me about when they first came out with colour money, first thing she says to the bank is: i dont want canadian tire money i want real money....

If you can spend them who cares.I know for a fact you can't tear them.(just ask Gorilla). I like the colours cause with a glance you know exactly what you are pulling out of your wallet. Not like when I am in the USA,I have to be really carefull of theirs(I don't recognize many of their presidents),although they are starting to put some colour in the money also.

First rule of finance, make sure you know what you are spending regardless of the currency. ;)

I find it interesting that the bills might melt in the dryer. More than a few times I have had money go through the washer and dryer but thankfully have always been able to restore it.

Imagine taking a ball of wadded plastic to the bank and asking for a new 20.00 bill. :no

I would be a poorer man today if I had plastic money.

Mine have been in the dryer and never melted.I think the ones that melted happened when a person actually put them on a radiator or near a space heater Shamu.I'd have to look for the article.

I did hear of one guy who put one in the oven and he said it shrank like a "Shrinky Dink" (for those of you old enough to know what those are.)

But I have heard of plenty of Canadians putting them through the wash and dry cycle and no problems.

I didn't even notice. Hell, I rarely have any actual bills in my wallet.

I use a plastic debit card, even for a coffee.
