This is my latest, a snub nose Chiappa Rhino, .357. I bought it because it is different. The barrel is on the underside. Firing from the bottom of the cylinder theoretically lightens the recoil by directing the force more into your arm as opposed to above the wrist. Need to get it out and give it a try.

 

The red part is just a removable insert so it can be dry fired without any damage to the firing pin.

that is cool ..i had a 44 bulldog with a 2 .1/2 inch barrle on it and that thing would make your ears ring for a hour after shooting it ..nice gun bud really nice

Nice pistol.  controlling that recoil would be important as that is a short barrel for a 357.  Nice piece.

Fired the Rhino and a Ruger Sp 101, 3" barrel, both with .357 cartridges. Definitely less muzzle flip with the Rhino. The under barrel concept does work.

I have HXTR in both .38 +P and .357. at the same time I also shot my Ruger SP 101, 3" barrel with the same ammo. A definite difference in muzzle flip. I really liked it. This video from YT gives you some idea:
