You spawn next to a frozen enemy and you die? That cant be the ice radiation since it does not do damage at all. As with everything like that there is no damage done unless I specifically add it. I can print the code if you dont believe me. :lol:

 

The gas for example has two parts. I specifically have to apply the shock effect. Then I specifically have to apply the damage. Two different functions. That is how friendlies can feel the shock effects of the gas but only enemies are damaged by it.

 

In any case I shut off the radiation effects and it should be gone on the next server restart. Unfortunately you can still glitch. One of those things that just didnt show up on testing because nobody, including myself, ever tried to do it.

yea i have and i was never able to shoot out of the bubble maybe its only certain guns...

No it would be all guns. Collision on the mesh works in only one direction. If inside the mesh it faces away from you so bullets behave as if it isnt there. However because the bubble itself is not a uniform shape its not always possible to tell from your viewport if the gunhand is inside of it.

Although i appreciate all the hardwork that has gone into this mod - its a great mod, however the bubbles are a pain, you can't shoot through them when in a tunnel, you can get caught near them and when going past they cause issues.

 

I would vote against this particular feature!

i have bubble killed so many people.. they are standing in others bubbles! i cant and have never experienced the problem that are mentioned here with people using it as a hack? so im not complaining just talking about my experiences.. and its a pain in the arse that bubble thingy ! just my 2 cents! :-) other good job on the mod sammy as always! :-) just wondering when you are getting into maps? ;-)

Its not a hack. Just a symptom of how things work and something that got missed. The radiation part should already be gone if the server was restarted within the last 12 hours. I dont know if it has been.

Uploaded a couple script fixes and restarted server. Both problems seemed to be related to a player being disconnected in between server frame processes. Just a reminder to any admin that restarts the server. Please rename the 'console_mp' log file to "console_mp_todaysdate" so I can download it and hopefully find if the server had a problem. Otherwise when the server is restarted the log is erased.

I picked up a very nice gold reskin for the standard M9 Beretta. Currently the G18 is balanced to fill the M9 role. My thought is to leave that one there but to restore the M9 rebalanced to match the 45. Its really nothing more than switching out models and animations. Anyone have an issue with doing this?

In the end the Chinalake and M32 operate the same. Just different models. Except that the M32 animations are faster and dont require a reload sequence for two nades.

You can go get the Open Warfare framework at openwarfaremod.com for a good idea. In addition to the cod4 mod tools. The OW2 code isnt released publicly. Too many people rip stuff off and call it their own. Including a few things of mine. There are ways to get it anyways and I cannot prevent it but it means I offer zero support when they cant get something to work. :popo:

It is changed on the mod update. Since model changes, such as the bubble and SAM, require mod recompiles not just script fixes they went into the update. So when that one goes into effect all is good. That one is up and running on a 24-player server so its there. However the old adage of 'if you build it he will come' doesnt apply to cod4. :lol:

When ready I will be doing that late at nights when I am online. That way I can also play it and keep an eye on things. Then when I go switch it back. But yea often things can only be done while kicking and screaming all the way.

For testing added a short 'stun' effect to EMP. Its not a full stun grenade. That is left to flashbangs.  Just a small addition to give a bit of disorientation and make them a little more useful. Try it out and let me know how it works.
