Oh, also the hints call the attack package a "strike package". Not crucial, but confusing to newcomers maybe. Same with reaper saying pegasus was shot down, or are the names going to be changed?

the car ended somehow, timer or shot etc, while in the emp field that slows you down?

What I mean is, were you also in an area where you only moved 1/2 speed. Because of an emp that was thrown before.

Sorry no. Just the EMP that went off as far as I know. The EMP went off right on my car as soon as I activated it. I only got to drive like 6" maybe.

Some of the houses on nuke town have no colours or textures to them. Purple blue and brown house all look white and textureless.

Cant do nothin about maps. Going through an EMP field will slow you down by 1/2. A direct hit just freezes your controls, like being frozen.  Its possible the car was disabled or destroyed while there. Only thing I can think of and will check it out tomorrow.

I believe that the Ballistic Vest (I think that is the one that protect against gunfire) is overpowered. When I sneak up behind someone and shot them point blank in the back with a .50 cal...I can get 4 or 5 hit markers and they do not die...and then they are still able to turn around and kill me...that is total BS. I realize this is a game...but come on...we are shooting for some level of realism here. There is absolutely no benefit to sneaking around or run and gun, if you can get that good of a drop on someone...and it does you no good and they still kill you. I am using double tap (high rate of fire)...so If I can shoot someone point blank with double the rate of fire...and their vest still allows them to survive and kill me...that is OP in my opinion.

Sorry but the math doesnt add up. A .50 does 70 pts damage regardless of range. If you got 5 hit markers that means you did 350 points damage. Even with a vest and a death streak max health is nowhere near that.

 

edit: just to be sure I spawned some bots forcing 100 armor. That plus hardcore health = 130 points total. Killed by two shots, for 140 points, to the torso.

For the Reaper I cut bullet damage in 1/2. However rockets and missiles still do full damage. Two will destroy it. Will see how that goes. If its too much might dial that back to 2/3 damage for bullets.

That should be ok. I would be almost tempted to say I wouldn't be too upset at being shot down by a rocket.. but 2 sounds ideal.

Thanks for checking it out.....I have definitely received more than 2 hit markers without resulting in a kill. I will keep an eye on it and see what happens..maybe I was using the P90. Also a strong possibility it was related to lag...because that has been absolute shit lately....with large random lag spikes...go around a corner...have lag spike...come back frozen with no idea how it happened.

The P90 is a different matter with its lower damage and distance+location modifiers. It does a max of 30 damage (not counting SP) compared to an AR or sniper because its rounds are very small. Yes this is the way it is on the stock game and I didnt mess with it.

 

Just so I am sure, what is spawn armor set at on this server? I should know this anyways but I need to spend more time playing it. :rolleyes:

Ya I noticed that also Nitro.

 

Was fine for a couple days then after Sammy updated to 8.The server is lagging like a motherfucker the last week or so.Constant CIs and ppl getting DCed.Even though I do have a 40 ping I get some Massive lag spikes.Server seems very unstable.

It has been asked of me a couple times about error messages related to 'max fragments'. Typically it happens the most with airstrikes. This is normal, especially if you are in the middle of it, because of all the FX. Mostly it's all the tiny particles. There are a lot of them. Here is an example of the error log taken after standing in the middle of an airstrike using a basic Open Warfare mod. For those unfamiliar with the standard Open Warfare framework, it has no custom weapon models, no custom streak models (B2 etc), and few custom fx. It is mostly scripting for new gametypes, abilities like retrieving explosives, and enhanced flexibility on server+gametype setup. The console is just saying there are too many for the engine to handle so it ignores what it cannot do.
