Wanted to share something with all my Idiot Friends....

Today my son and I got up early and went fishing before the rest of the fam got out af bed. Hit the lake in a canoe a friend of mine gave me last year. It worked like a charm. I explained to my son that he had to sit in front and that I would not be able to help him out as much as being in the big boat. He was really cool about it. "he just turned seven last month". I tought him how to cast off the dock before we headed out. Paddling around the lake casting into the weeds looking for some Blue Gills. He did awesome!! We were about an hour and a half fishing and he turns around and says "DADDY, DO YOU KNOW WHAT MAKES THIS A GREAT DAY" I said "what Buddy" He said "BEING WITH YOU" One of the greatest moments I will never forget.

This is a fellow true idiot shout out to all my friends of a PROUD DAD

That is what being a Daddy is all about, its great to hear that you are truly appreciated by your son and that you can enjoy quality time together. Take him fishing often and spend as much time as you can with him cause he will not stay little forever and the next thing you know he will be all grown up.

Happy Fathers Day Title !

Thats too cool. Interacting with your kids is awsome because you never know what their going to say. And the bet part, or the worst part lol, is what they say is going to be innocent. I have a 5 and 6 year old so I know where your coming from. You cant replace those memorys with anything.

Excellent!  My son's just turned eighteen but wanted me to renew his fishing licence so we can continue to go fishing together.  It's an ideal way for a father and son to spend a day and we get to talk for longer than we do at home.

Here he is fighting a common carp (the fish won eventually).

Awesome, fishing is such a great bonding between father and not just sons but daughters also. i take my 6 year old son fishing all the time winter and summer. And my 4 year old daughter caught her very 1st fish last fall, on her 4th birthday and she still talks about it to this day LOL

Would upload a few fishing pics but it says 0.5 mb max size and all my pics are 1-2.5 mbs, and i am a TRUE idiot when it comes to PCs and dont know how to make them smaller LOL

Excellent story there Title, and yes, there is nothing so rewarding as being a father to children who are thoughtful, ans seeing them grow into fine little people.

My oldest daughter (3.5yrs) said yesterday "Daddy, I really love you so much", after a great fathers day out at the Wildlife park near where I am from, visiting it with my family, sisters family, and my parents.

Brings a tear of happiness  to your eye.....

I'm a proud new first time dad myself.  My son is only two and a half months old, and just seeing him smile is soooooo rewarding.  I can't wait to do all those father and son activities, fishing included (though I'm not very good!).  Lovely story. :)
