Duckduckgo gives you all the results. Compare the two you would be surprised how much google has to edit their results to make certain groups happy. BUT...I did do some research online and there were tests done comparing Google, Bing and DuckDuckGo and it seems that DuckDuckGo is preferred over the other 2. The latest Linux Mint release is using DuckDuckGo as its default search engine in a revenue sharing plan, given DuckDuckGo's friendliness to free software, as well its privacy tools. I chose to switch to DuckDuckGo because it doesn't store your personal info, follow you with ads or track you.

I wasn't getting the best of search results using them so I just stopped using them Regards to privacy and trackers you can still block them easily by just using google. Can use plugins such as ghostery to block trackers and if you really want to go private then use noscript but that can break a few websites. At the end of the day your pretty much gonna be tracked by certain programs on your PC. I also have a firefox extension for yahoo mail called yahoo mail hide ad panel which eliminates all those annoying ads in yahoo mail. I do not use anti virus or anti malware programs anymore. I do not update windows. I back up daily. I have a clean ghost drive if I have to wipe for any reason. I am not really a web user like I used to be. I have about 10 sites I visit daily, 2 emails (yahoo & thunderbird) and I use about 5 programs daily (mainly for graphics design/blueprints). If I’m searching for steam engine parts, quit showing me Steam gaming ads.
 Awards
