Good choice - I installed the Noctua NH-D9L with an extra fan. I previously had a Corsair closed liquid cooler but it failed - found out afterwards that closed loops tend to do that.

Currently running  HWiNFO64 for temperature monitoring.

Saw it was highly-rated on Amazon and in reviews on other sites, so picked it up while there.

Also has a 6-year warranty.

Didn't like the idea of spending $1,600 on a rig & then installing something into it that can spring a leak, however unlikely.

Also liked that it came with extra clips for aforementioned extra fan.

ikr, I asked the counter guy about it and if they were having issues with returns because I couldn't beleive the entire deal!

It runs so buttery smooth and fast, even before I mounted the Video card. Have not had a single system hiccup or crash since getting Windows installed.

Cod 4 tho does not like 2k on W11, it never has on any system I tried it on, crashes on map switch and minimize.

7900x with a Noctua NH-U12S might run a bit hot (70c-75c) under load. Keep an eye on your CPU temps.

Read-up on that.

The chip is actually designed to run hotter than usual;  nonetheless, I'm gonna install a 2nd fan on the cooler.

Ya I read that they run hot. Alot of the Tech guys recommend a dual tower designed air cooler with at least 2 fans or an AIO to keep them a bit cooler. They can reach max temps and throttle on hot days with most of the single tower style coolers even with 2 fans.

AIOs work really good but are a pain in the ass especially if you have a slightly older case. I had a couple AIOs that the pump failed on. I'm not going back to AIO coolers.

I got this cooler on sale for $46 about 2 weeks ago. It keeps my Ryzen 7 3700X nice and cool. I have it locked at it's max turbo of 4.4ghz and it's sitting rite at 34c and so far it hasn't gone above 52c. It's one of the best mid range coolers for under $50 and it will fit in most cases.

https://www.amazon.com/Thermalright-SE-ARGB-TL-C12C-S-Technology/dp/B09S38B3JV/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=Thermalright&qid=1677224821&sr=8-3&th=1

I wanted a Noctua NH-D15 chromax but those things are HUGE (probibly wouldn't have fit in my case) and I didn't have $110 to spend on a cooler. The Noctua NH-D15 chromax is king of the air coolers performance wise.
