Freeze Tag 1 players should we change the mod

yup server 1 is great. was playing the new MW2 server just to see if it grew on me. Nope.... dont care to much for it. weapons to strong. thawing sucks. points suck. night vision really sucks.  i love the run speed though. there  are some bugs to work out on it. personaly i dont RAG (run & gun) to much. id rather defrost my team. if people will start playing server 1 again ill be back there in a flash

I say leave it Rugger, i much prefer the old defrosting methods to the new ones, with the old defrosting method we can at least see who is and who is'nt defrosting their teammates, the new one lets too many glory hunters and non team players off the hook who just want to kill and not defrost, yes at the moment people are leaving server1 to go the new mod but i think many will drift back when the novelty wears off, i am one of them that for the moment that has to my shame deserted ftag1 but i went back and played a bit yesterday and came to realise that as good as the new mod is i actually think i still prefer server one and the old ftag way, i think we will get enough traffic to populate all 3 servers eventually, even a slow ftag server gets more people in over a 24 hour period then say a paintball or a knife only server or even the new mw2 dm server which i have never saw one person in yet in the 5 days i been back from my holidays, ftag is by far i think our most popular game so i think it's good that we now have a choice between old and new, i'm sure in the next week or 2 they will find their level again, just my tuppence worth.

I like the new mod because of the weapons and the "lets-finish-this-round-with-a-draw-by-nuke". Also there are some nice maps available for it.

 

But I still favor FTAG1 - the one that was, is and ever will be the best Freezetag-Server for COD4

I love server #2 over #1!   Mess with #1, have a message with #2's addy "for orginal ftag #1 gaming style, go to server #2 at...." Kinda thing.  Don't put too many custom maps on #2!!!

 

Give #1 a few weeks with the new mod and reassess how the servers are doing then.

Maybe some alternate measures could be taken?

Players with very low defrost ratios would be given player skin mod with their pants down. As their defrost ratio drops, their pants drop too!! hehhehe

I've voted to leave server 1 the way it is.

Sure, a lot of players are playing on the MW2 server atm, but I don't think that's because you can defrost with 3 or 4 guys.

They're over there to try the shiny new guns and maps. Once the newness wears off, they'll come back to good ole server 1.

 Except for the pants thing I agree with Sexy and the others, I don't much care for the MW2 server.

I am not sure why players are voting to change this mod anyway, if they want something different then they should go to the mw2 mod, we should just leave this the way it is, after all variety is the spice of life.

i like all 3 freezetag server, and i agree with Zoe and Sob don't change freezetag 1 server, there are so many people in that like it soo much. Best is to keep up the 3 freezeservers and let everybody decides for themselves where they want to play.
