The restaurants are about 15-20 minutes away. There's a great patio for grilling, which we'll probably do at least once. The fun is the house itself, gameroom with bar and pool table, outdoor pool and hot tub, large property, on the water. The XI Fests of late have had more people choosing to do things right at the house rather than doing more of the tourist type stuff. I'm sure we'll plan some activities as well, but nothing in the works just yet. We are looking into boat rentals since we have a dock.

Yeap, there's a lot of people who have grown-up with the internet as their main mode of communication, never having enjoyed the immediate consequences of their obnoxious actions. This is what happens when they're no-longer one step removed. Very refreshing. Mr. Tyson was relentlessly bullied as a child growing up in the inner city. His refuge was the rooftops, taking solace & company with doves, pigeons. He's a retiring fellow who came out in better shape than many of us likely would have, given the circumstance into which he was born. His dad was a street thug, never present; his mom ran a br0thel out of their apartment, doing drugs & trying to get Mike addicted, until she died when he was 16. I admire him for making it out of such circumstance; for even surviving.

I've been reluctant to post this, but some of you will recall my wife Debbie was just recovering from a lung cancer surgery at the XI Fest at Niagra Falls in 2017. And you all surprised her with a birthday cake at the XI Fest in Carolina! She was cancer free for four years, but unfortunately returned this past October in the way of a metastasized tumor in her head and one in her lung again. After radiation, we are happy to say both have reduced in size and they say there is currently no active cancer. Also good, no chemo. So it's been slow recovery, getting her energy back, but still requires oxygen. She has told me to go meet you all without her, but too many unknowns until then. More testing in early June, so we'll see. Nice find @Ruggerxi! It looks like a great place to par-tay! Folks, please don't hijack this thread with sympathies - send a PM, if you must. @Ruggerxi

Howdy folks, Some additional rooms (5) have been made available in a cottage adjacent to the main house. They are a bit more economically priced as well. Main house room: $575 Cottage room: $415 Each of these is a total price of a room for the 3 days. Saturday at or around 12:00pm, noon, Eastern Daylight time we will send a pm to everyone who has registered interest here or otherwise with us directly about getting a room. In the pm will be a PayPal address to which you can submit payment. After receiving proper payment a message will be sent back to you with instructions on how to pick a room out of the ones still available. Well, this is going to be fun. I havent accessed any of my EA games in awhile. And in such cases logins tend to require reactivation. No big deal. The problem is, while I have my UID and last known password (which doesnt work) I do not have access to my old email for recovery. After some digging the CSR (from India so a bit of a language issue) did find the account. And then she said it was deactivated. Well... sorry I didnt do it. She insisted they cant delete accounts several times. I kept telling her I didnt either just to provide some kind of olive branch to see if there were options to figure out such issues... which shouldnt be unusual considering the millions of accounts they have. To be fair phone support can only go so far and have limited authority. However she also refused to transfer me, several times, to someone up the chain that could maybe help me. I had enough with her bullshit and just hung up. So, while likely nothing will come of it (being EA) I wrote a long and clear email about the problem, the conversation, and that I have every original email from them for order confirmations (eml archived from my old accounts) for every EA game I ever got. Some actual purchases some free. Also their registrations. I suppose they will still try and insist that they cant delete accounts. Im also sure I am not the first person to complain that they did. If they do, I guess I will have to find where up the chain to send a very nasty email, send every order confirmation email plus several others from them, and see if they will do something to simply make it all go away.

Headed to Olney in two weeks for lake fishing. Pulling Jeff's Tracker down, & Dale is bringing his new Lowe. I offered to bring my Crestliner, but we have enough seats for everybody. Here's my hanger queen in days past, but she's coming out for some Illinois River cruises this summer.

My wife and I would love to do the loop someday. Whether we will or not depends on a lot of thing. Mostly $$$ Our good friends favorite place to boat was along the canals in NY State with all the locks. Looks beautiful!
