German Potatoes minus the onion cook in lard. Was going to make Curry Ketchup but stuck with regular turning them into French Fries or Chips. I cooked in a Cast Iron skillet using my cool Induction cooker making this a very healthy meal. Iron makes it all better. I was going to make the Cheeseburgers but ended up diving into the potatoes instead then passed out before Sunset. Woke up at 11:30PM yesterday been up since... so I'll cook the burgers tonight.

Thank you Totty! I was very glad to assist even though I wasn't quite able to prevent it from crashing. Looked at the event logs, fixed some persistent errors but that didn't seem to help. The memory error was obviously not the reason since I checked both the SSD space (plenty) and ran a RAM test to check and fix RAM health. Updated the graphics drivers. Booted in safe mode and tried running COD4 in compatible settings... As @Hatchetman mentioned it could quite probably be a hardware reason. (An error she gets often. I even did the following to prevent it: Registry Editor. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows Media Foundation\Platform. Create/set EnableFrameServerMode registry DWORD to 0. Reboot UPDATE: Installing the cod4x patch fixed it.

It's arrived and it's a beauty. It runs Cod4 4k 120hz no problem. 144hz didn't look as good so I backed it down a bit The monitor itself is 160hz

So we had our special "2024 Solar Eclipse" sunglasses, had our chairs set up perfectly in the backyard, raincoats on (IT WAS STORMING), and could not even find the sun! Meanwhile, my kids traveled to Solar Eclipse parties in different parts of the country and had a blast, took great photos... SO. I have decided. We are off to Western Iceland for the Aug 12, 2026 Total Solar Eclipse (volcanos be damned.) Retired with nothing going on for the day, so decided this will be our last opportunity at our age to see another total eclipse. Drove about 2-hrs to be on the centerline down in Ohio. For us it was well worth the experience.
